MASSIVE 4.2 SPOILERS AHEAD
At the end of 4.2 we saw Yao Guang come up with an idea to have Blade get his revenge on Shuhu along with being something the Alliance would be satisfied with it. It is heavily implied that this has something to do with the station below Planarcadia we went to at the end of 4.1 and the Voracity. Most likely, Yao Guang plans to have Blade be fed to the remnants of the Voracity in an attempt to rid the universe of him and Shuhu in one fell swoop. But I don't think that this will actually kill Blade.
For starters, let's address the obvious: Mortenax Blade. We haven't seen this form in game at all. The closest we've gotten is the image where Blade is stabbing himself with fragments of his own sword to maintain his sanity. However, this is, despite the similarities, not Mortenax Blade. Therefore, in order to get a new Blade form, Blade has to survive in some capacity.
Second: Kafka's advice to Silver Wolf. When Silver Wolf and Kafka were talking and Kafka was 23 seconds late, she told Silver Wolf a piece of advice that "could save her and Blade's lives." That piece of advice? "Don't lose to Aha." We know that this has nothing to do with Silver Wolf's adventure in the Dark Zone, since that was what the 23 seconds were for (a warning) and the person she spoke to is implied to be the Lord Ravager Asat Pramad. So, Silver Wolf hasn't yet played a game with Aha in game, especially not one that she could lose.
Third: Silver Wolf LV 999's About Blade. Her line in her new form about Blade is as follows: "He's been dying to do this mission for a long time… But if you ask me, who's to say there isn't a hidden ending?" The line establishes that Blade has been looking forward to this mission in particular, likely because of the very strong possibility that he will finally die. Silver Wolf, however, does not appear to like this possibility very much and wants some sort of a secret ending where Blade can live.
Fourth: Silver Wolf LV 999's Promo Videos. In most of her promo's, Blade is featured heavily. In both the catching up with star rail and her character trailer, Blade appears and is a parental figure to her in both, reminding her to eat and even cooking the food for her. This serves not only as a glimpse into Silver Wolf, but her dynamic with Blade. They are almost like Father and Daughter, something that is reinforced when she appears protectively in front of Blade when he is talking with Yao Guang at the end of 4.2. It is obvious they both care about each other and are a part of the found family that makes up the Stellaron Hunters.
What I Think Will Happen:
I think that at some point of 4.3, Yao Guang, Ashveil, Blade, Silver Wolf, and probably others, will travel to that Land of Sneering Gods from the end of 4.1. There they will feed Blade to the Voracity remains and, right before he actually dies, Aha will offer Silver Wolf a bet. If she wins, Blade is separated from Shuhu and gets to live, but if she loses something else will happen. Then, some high stakes scene or battle plays out, Silver Wolf wins by the skin of her teeth, and Blade gets to live.
While I think most would probably expect him to be upset about this, I don't think he would be. Because while he is still alive, the next time is it. He has what he wants, and the ability to spend more time with the people he's grown to care about, a win-win all around.
Of course, feeding the remnants of Shuhu within Blade to the Voracity will likely have some negative effects, including the possibility of the resurrection of the Voracity (which would fit nicely into Sunday's character arc shown in Planarcadia). But regardless, I think Blade's survival in this instance is very strongly implied.
But of course, why do I think this will happen in 4.3? Why not have Blade die and then Silver Wolf win the games and bring him back? While this could happen, I think it is unlikely because that would require them to wrap up the games in the next patch, which is when Blade's SP form is released. Therefore it will make the most sense for it to occur then.
Regardless of the outcome, I do really hope Blade survives and I cannot wait to see what happens next!
