Welcome to the SQ Kinktober 26 blog
We're back for another round this year ! This blog is fully dedicated to hosting the SwanQueen 2026 Kinktober event.
Anyone can participate, and all contributions are welcome: fanfics, fanart, any length, any language are welcome as long as they comply to the (few) rules we have put in place to help everyone have a good time!
Ships: All work should include some version of the SwanQueen ship (can be Regina x Emma, Evil Queen x Dark Swan etc...). It doesn't have to be ONLY them, but they should of course be included.
AI Use: No generative AI can be used in the creation of your work.
Themes: There are no hard limits on the topics you can explore through the prompts, BUT your work should be properly tagged before it can be added to the collection
Overall: BE NICE. Creators work hard on their works, so we won't tolerate any form of hate or bullying during the course of this event, either in comments or in private. Don't like something someone created? Keep Scrolling.
We created an AO3 collection you can freely add your work to (It's only moderated so we can make sure fics are properly tagged/avoid eventual spam). Be careful to add your work ONLY to the SQ Kinktober 2026 subcollection, it will be automatically added to the SQ Kinktober parent collection automatically :)
If anyone needs it, the organizers of this event do have some AO3 invites available, please don't hesitate to contact us if you want one. (See contact info below)

We'll be tracking the #sqkinktober26 here on Tumblr!
For each day of October, you will get both a kink AND a diaolgue prompt. You can do both or either each day!
The complete list of prompts will be posted August 7th.
We also have a form you can fill to suggest some prompts and other things up until July 24th.
Is there a minimum/maximum wordcount?
There is no minimum or maximum word count! But AO3 does have a minimum of 50 words or so in order to post a work, so that's the only constraint you'll have if you want to post to the collection.
Are crossovers/AU accepted?
Crossover and/or AU works are absolutely accepted! We want our writers to have complete freedom of creativity. As long as Swan Queen is more or less the main focus, crossover away!
When is the deadline to be added to the collection?
The official challenge is to complete the prompts within the month of October; however, we will accept submissions to the AO3 collection through November 13th! Life happens, and we are completely understanding of that. After November 15th, you are still more than welcome to post and tag us in your works, but it will not be included in the official collection for this year.
