World Building Wednesday - Veeroth!

• Full name: Veeroth. He may have had a last name at some point, but he left it behind when he was brought to the Sith Academy.
• Gender: male
• Sexuality: pansexual
• Pronouns: he/him
O T H E R S
• Family: Biologically, Veeroth has two parents who were killed during an Eternal Empire attack. Beforehand, he did keep in touch, but not very often in order to protect them from anyone who might use them against him. Also has a little sibling, whose whereabouts are unknown. Non-biologically, he’s pretty much pulled his entire old crew (and close friends from the Alliance) into some sort of weird family dynamic. It works for them, though.
• Birthplace: A small, but relatively well-to-do Imperial moon colony that his parents were in charge of.
• Job: former Empire’s Wrath, current Alliance Commander.
• Phobias: claustrophobia. the carbonite did him no favors.
• Guilty pleasures: Veeroth didn’t always agree or enjoy what he was tasked to do as the Empire’s Wrath, but it it quite amusing whenever people realize that it’s him right behind them. Doubly so now that he’s the Alliance Commander as well. Vette has a lot of fun recording people’s reactions.
M O R A L S
• Morality alignment?: Neutral good.
• Sins: lust/greed/gluttony/sloth/pride/envy/wrath; Veeroth holds himself and, often, others (at least the ones he works with) to a pretty high standard, and if those expectations aren’t met all the time, he can get pretty frustrated. He also can lose control very easily if people he cares about are threatened.
• Virtues: chastity/charity/diligence/humility/kindness/patience/justice; Veeroth, overall, is a pretty sweet and caring person. He does try to lead with kindess and hear others out, but man can it get infuriating when the Imps and Pubs he’s in charge of won’t stop arguing. He has a pretty intense drive to get things done right, and a strong inner sense of justice. He’s lucky he’s got a good crew to help balance him out, though, otherwise he might just stick his neck out a little too far - there were some pretty close calls when he was still with the Empire.
T H I S - O R - T H A T
• Introverted/extrovert; Veeroth enjoys being around people - though his favorite spots are always with his friends and family as opposed to something like a cantina.
• Close-minded/open-minded; Once Veeroth joined the Alliance, he almost immediately jumped on the chance to learn from force users who used different techniques from him. He’s often seen on the edges of some group meditations lead by Jedi and/or Sana Rae, and also practices on his own. Unsurprisingly, this also helped calm a few tensions between the factions he was leading.
• Calm/anxious; Veeroth is more calm the anxious - he feels like the galaxy’s already thrown some pretty crazy shit at him already and he’s made it through all that alive so far.
• Disagreeable/agreeable; Veeroth finds it useful to listen to other people’s perspectives - it only helps him become a better leader, anyways. And hey - if he hadn’t listened to his crew before, he definitely wouldn’t be where he is now.
• Cautious/reckless; He prefers to take things pretty slow and think things through - if a mistake now could lead to lives lost, the time gained from rushing isn’t worth it.
• Patient/impatient; He’s had years to get used to working with some of the worst coworkers imaginable. He’s definitely had to learn how to be patient.
• Outspoken/reserved; Well, mostly. He’s content to stand on the sidelines and let other people argue, unless its about to go to blows or is something deeply important to him. If he really, really cares about something, it’s almost impossible to drag him off his soapbox.
• Leader/follower; Veeroth likes being able to make sure things don’t go wrong - and he’s had a lot of practice over the years.
• Empathetic/unempathetic; Sometimes, he cares a little too much.
• Optimistic/pessimistic; Veeroth truly believes he can make a difference, and protect those he loves.
• Traditional/modern; Well, he still does believe in the importance of tradition, but nowadays no one who meets him would ever call him a traditional sith, or even a traditional commander.
• Hard-working/lazy; Almost to a fault. He’s prone to overworking himself, especially when he thinks he can do more to help. It gets particularly bad whenever a mission goes wrong. Especially during the Umbara arc.
R E L A T I O N S H I P S
• otp: Vette! She brings out his best sides, and helped prevent him from letting all his sithly powers get to his head. She’s incredibly grounding for him, and he would do almost anything for her.
• ot3: I’ve...actually never thought about this before. Most of his bonds - besides Vette - are very familial. Maybe Lana, in a very platonic way. They’ve definitely gone through a lot together.
• brotp: My jedi knight, Pyrhai! They love to spar together, and balance each other out very well. Veeroth’s able to counter Pyrhai’s chaotic energy, and Pyrhai can get Veeroth to loosen up a little. A decent amount of their philosophies have rubbed off on each other, as well - sometimes to the chagrin of their peers.
