Great inspiration for the perfect handwritten invite! These are from talented (and frequently mentioned on my blog : )) Ladyfingers Letterpress . Photos by Megan Clouse.
Cutest garland ever! By one of my fab inspiration sources Ex Industria Argentina.
Nice inspiration from one of my favourite letterpress studios: Ladyfingers Letterpress. Love this wedding stationary with hot foil stamped in gold onto dark blue paper - nice match with the rest of the artwork in blue ink.
I just found out about these beautiful wood types, designed by Louis Pouchée (1782–1845). Here's some more work in a short video clip (from the movie Typeface). Pics above is a reblog from 8 faces magazine's blog Type Worship, see full post here.
Giving is better than receiving! I just launched some DIY wedding stationary freebies on my website and they also are honored with a blog post on Sweden's most eminent wedding blog Vintage Honeymoon. Not fluent in swedish? I hope you can manage with some google translating skills : ) Enjoy!
Some of my work featured on the swedish wedding blog Vintage Honeymoon, yay! I have experimented with both letterpress print with gold ink and digital printed flower ornaments - turned out really good.
I've been very lucky working with these talented women for the style shoot; Lovely photographs by Alicia Swedenborg. Magnificent flowers by Madelin Downey, excellent make-up and styling by Karolina Olsson-Haglund and last but not least - fantastic planning and set design by Maria Ahlin. Location: Vidbynäs Gård.
Pink on the press today! Lovely and newly arrived paper also; 500 gsm Somerset Satin, radiant white, mums!
Letterpressed t-shirts from Neuarmy Surplus Co. Nice idea!
Lovely wood signage by Neuarmy Surplus Co.,must try this myself! Love their mixing with typography.
Love this "rainbow roll" printed invite by Ladyfingers Letterpress. The press is inked with two colours and blends on the rollers as they spin. A magic gradient!
Yay! Got the chance to put my hands on a Golding Jobber from 1903 (don't know the model no). Couldn't say no to that offer of course! Here are some pics from moving this beast from an office in central Stockholm. A ramp was build over the staircase and then a huge "thing" lifted the press onto a pallet. One hour later it was in my studio. Magic! They have a similar press/identical (?) at Grafiska Museet in Helsingborg (Helsingborg Printing Museum).
It's been on my mind to try to dip dye some paper but it seemed as I never got the time over. But finally! When baking a cake this morning (which rarely happens) I found an old bottle of Hushållsfärg since last christmas, it's colour for cakes and stuff. Had to try it! I blended it with water and the result was very nice on 100% cotton papers such as Somerset, Gmund Cotton and Conqueror Connoiesseur. Other paper qualities such as Keaykolour unfortunately bended and didn't get as crisp colour as the ones in pure cotton. I will try watercolour also, but I don't think it will get as intense as the Hushållsfärg.
Would love to try this on invitations in the future!
Some wedding stationary goods featured in both the latest issue of Bröllopsmagasinet and on the blog of of Studio 56 Photography. Gorgeous images, good work Lotta and Maria at Studio 56 Photography! Looking forward to see more shoots.
During this week me and Josefine visited Einar at his print shop "Einar Ljungströms Boktryckeri" in Gimo, Sweden. Einar was so sweet and guided us through all his presses and shared valuable tips. He also showed us his Ludlow Type Caster, he has a beautiful collection of fonts for the Ludlow. Even got my name casted from it in a matter of seconds, almost as sci-fi!
Einar was generous and spared me some @ lead type that he had created himself, fantastic!
A perfect day in other words.
New from the press! Business cards for the charming and talented stylist and florist Madelin Downey.
Love this lettterpress studio of Ex Industria Argentina . So inspirational, artistic and both modern and old style. Mums! Their blog is also a fantastic inspiration, don't miss!
