Do you think there are dwarf dragons in the hp world? Like munchkin kitties but dragons? Scaly fire breathing munchkin dragons

((OOC: I think that there are probably some breeds that are already smaller than the average dragon, and I would not be surprised to find that some cute li’l nerd like Charlie gave dwarf dragon breeding a shot [probably while sending frantic owls back and forth with Hagrid, both just freaKING THE FUCK OUT]. 

But what I want to know is, what is the deal with the miniature dragons from GoF?? We are never given any explanation. Were they normal dragons that had a shrinking charm placed on them? Did it wear off? Harry kept his little Horntail with him in the dorms after the first challenge, so it seems like it’s just permanently that little. Was it a toy? Was it a tiny enchanted dragon toy that looked like a real dragon? Mmmm, I don’t know, because it curled up and went to sleep. So then, my question is, who the fuck is breeding tiny-ass versions of full sized dragons? Is it a hobby? Is it a career? If it’s how the person makes a living, who the hell are they selling them to??

Here’s what I think. Newt Scamander. Sweet little old Newtie. In his sweet little old age. Learning about this muggle habit of inbreeding cats and dogs to pass along desirable traits in pets. Thinking this is cruel, because the bodies of typical dogs and cats aren’t strong enough to handle being bred down like that. But you know what is– dragons. And he gives it a try. AND. IT. WORKS.

And I imagine a future in Hogwarts, maybe even when James, Lily Luna, and Albus Severus are attending, when a Care of Magical Creatures lesson opens with Hagrid, so excited that he is practically VIBRATING, passes around a big bag, and tells everyone to pick their project for the next week. Every child gets a miniature dragon, each child has to care for their dragon, and each child will have to present Hagrid with a scroll describing the nature of their dragon.

After all the years of longing for dragons of his own, Rubeus Hagrid finally gets to surround himself with them. He has achieved euphoria. Thanks, Newt. Thanks, teeny tiny dragons. ))

“I believe that Authority products are directly linked to the death of my dog, Gidget, a 10 pound Chihuahua.  There is an equal body of information that supports the illness/death of other pets as related to these products since the sudden and untimely death of my beloved pet.  Since her passing I have pledged to be her voice and to get the information out in the hopes of saving other dogs. I have taken to social media only to be approached by other pet owners who reported that their pets had gotten ill or died shortly and suddenly after eating the Authority treats.  Reported illness and deaths have occurred locally, in other states nationwide and in Canada. A constant and common factor in all these dogs are the AUTHORITY PRODUCTS.  No pet owner or pet should have to endure the effects of these treats.  It was a terrible painful death for our girl.  She deserved better.

The FDA requested the jerky product name and lot number.  The FDA then requested her medical records and body Gidget’s body 48 hours after her death and performed a necropsy on her at the New Bolten Center at the University of Pennsylvania.  The results are forth coming.  What is certain is the Authority Chicken Jerky that Gidget ate is listed on the FDA’s list of known jerkies to cause illness/death.  So why is it still on the shelves of PetSmart? How many dogs have to die?

As consumers we need to pull together and demand that PetSmart take action to make our pets safe.  They need to stop cutting corners and provide products that do not cause our pets illness and death.  This would be right thing to do. Please join me in this cause, and help all pet owners to protect the ones we love.”
