there’s no variation on this trope that isn’t absolutely peak. “im unlovable but i desire that connection so ill let myself be used instead”? peak. “im unlovable so ill drive everyone away” is automatically peak however you play it. “i am an unlovable thing so i will become a new person who isn’t”? peak beyond belief!!! i love characters 🥰

Been quite busy recently so haven't worked on In Promises and Flames much but my schedule should free up enough to explore this further next week

(Za said something was weird about it earlier..)

(It looks fine, it's a tree!)

(A weird voice said to come here when you were back at the veggie field.)

(So!)

(You walk towards the tree.)

(You feel like someone is there, looking at you.)

(That's a little scary, you're about to step away and run back to get Za to help.)

(But you don't get a chance to leave before you see it.)

"Why is your head on fire?"

(They stayed silent, hiding behind the root of the tree.)

(But their head was glowing, so you could see them still.)

(You wonder how their fire head was not burning down the tree.)

"...Are you gonna talk?"

"..Sorry! Sorry, i'm just.."

(They sounded like a child, but you've never met a child with a fire head before.)

(They take a breath in, and then out. Then they get on top of the root of the tree to sit down on it.)

"Hello, Smoky, my name is Candlewick!"

I'm back with another post about my Bonnie looping AU, In promises and flames! I decided that next, i'd introduce Flicker, the guide! (just Wick for short). They call Bonnie "Smoke cloud", and they have a vastly different personality than Bonnie. They are much more quiet and afraid, and don't tend to lash out nearly as much as them.

Finally decided to make my own ISAT AU, and of course, it's a bonnie looping au. I love this child dearly which is why i'm putting them through the horrors. This was inspired mostly by @sharkylass 's "In repetition and change" AU, which is an Isabeau looping AU. So here we are, the intro of "In promises and flames"! I'm planning on keeping a lot of things similar to the base game, but with Bonnie as a main character, tho obviously, there will be some things that are really different, one of which you can already see here!

Expect spoilers for the base game, all the way up to act 6 and the two hats ending, so make sure to block all the spoiler tags if you do not wish to see it!
