Nyx, the girl from the dungeon
Nyx is the name of the ancient Greek goddess of the night. I gave this name to the character because there’s something distinctly ancient Greek about her appearance. Besides, she’s a very mysterious girl - and what could be more mysterious than the night itself?
Nyx knows her way around the dungeon suspiciously well - a grim place littered with human bones and traces of sinister experiments. Her mind is a shattered glass vessel, her behavior flickering unpredictably between that of a little girl and a grown woman. At times, her clear blue eyes turn coal-black, as if some commanding entity has seized control.
Nyx’s pet is a massive centipede, and her jewelry would suit an ancient princess.
Nyx claims she wants to help the hero, but he’d do well to think twice before accepting any mushrooms from her tender, pale hands.

Unblinking, the girl tilted her head to the side and grabbed the young mercenary by the arm.
Nyx: Licht, what do my thoughts smell like?
Sharp nails dug hard into Licht’s arm. A nasty chill ran down his spine.
Licht: I can’t read thoughts from inside a person’s head - only from records, drawings, or any object made by hand.
Licht: I swear by the sun, the moon, and the stars!
Nyx: We’re underground. There’s only darkness, darkness, darkness all around… Here, it is far more powerful than light. Maybe you should swear by it instead?
