I’m looking forward to the season 2 renewal announcement and what you have cooking for us!! #supergirl #melissabenoist #chylerleigh #davidharewood #martianmanhunter #lordmesaart #mangastudioex5
Drew a Batgal to de-stress.
When you spend weeks asking where else can we find the DC Super Hero Girls Special than Boomerang, and WB starts loading it in four-minute installments on their Youtube page
(But, no really, the first part of the special is up on the Youtube page. And they have it in other languages besides English, too! Get your cape on and go check it out!)
From Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman #16
I commissioned @starfleetbabe for a Gotham Girl Gang piece with hugs and hand holding, and I absolutely love it.
End of Batman and Robin Eternal LEAKED. Harper Row is canon confirmed musical trash, this is inevitable. Check out Andrea’s commission info HERE.
I said I would draw something for Titans Assemble.

Batgirl & Supergirl were my two favourite characters to work with on DC Super Hero Girls’ “super Hero High” special :D
All-Different Avengers as Star War characters: Kamala Khan as Rey, Sam Alexander as Poe Dameron and Miles Morales as Finn. (idea from @jcardenas16)
I really love this, I think I’m going to do more.
Hurray for representation!
This warms my heart and soul.
and now ill go to bed

I WAS ALREADY ENJOYING THE HELL OUT OF LEGEND OF WW, THEN THIS HAPPENED AND I CRIED LITERAL TEARS OF JOY.
10 Supergirl headcanons
Some of these are fun. Some of these are angsty. I regret nothing.
1). Food on Krypton was a bit dull. All the fruits and vegetables grown in hydroponic farms, all the meat grown in vats. Only a few cultivars of each species so the variation is low. When Kara first gets to Earth, she goes a little nuts, because not only does she have a super sense of taste, but everything here is *so* much more flavorful than anything on Krypton.
2). Kara loves spicy food because it reminds her of home. Because food on Krypton was so bland, almost all Kryptonian cooking was heavily spiced. Like, hot Cajun Food for actual Cajun instead of Tourists levels of hot. One day while Eliza was out, Kara ate three pounds of Habaneros as a snack. Clark regularly sends her chocolate with Chili Peppers in it.
3). Most human pain killers do not work on Kryptonians. Something Eliza discovered much to her dismay the first time Kara got period cramps. She called Clark in a panic, and Clark told her he’d be there shortly. Ten minutes later, Clark arrived with a huge box of brownies. He apologized for taking so long, but he explained that he had to go to California to get them. Eliza was confused until Clark convinced Kara to eat a couple. Six brownies and a blushing explanation about how Martha Kent used to grow pot mixed in among the tomatoes later, Eliza had a stoned daughter, and a crisis of conscience on her hands, as she had to figure out which one was the lesser of two evils. Telling Kara she’d just have to suffer, or turning Superman into the world’s first superhero drug mule. One of the reasons Kara moved to National City after College was because of California’s very liberal medical marijuana laws. She keeps a couple of the special chocolate bars tucked in her desk, and *never* lets the brownie supply get low, because period cramps when your muscles are that strong are a whole other definition of hell.
4). Kara likes to sunbathe, naked. The first few times, Alex walked in on it, she was shocked. By this point, she just rolls her eyes.
5). Unlike the Kents, for whom Clark’s insane appetite was a *minor* dip in the farm’s profits, Eliza actually struggled a bit with feeding Kara, because the girl ate enough for five active adults. Clark somehow set up a trust fund to help feed Kara. Eliza never asked where the money came from, or why it was a lawyer in Gotham who handled the trust, but it was the only way she kept Kara fed through college, and the only way Kara fed herself her first couple of months in National City. She hasn’t taken a penny from the trust since she got her first check from Catco though.
6). Alex likes to tease her about it, but Kara literally has Hickory Farms on speed dial. Sausages are one of the few foods that are calorie dense enough to make her actually feel full, and she goes through a couple of gift baskets a week.
7). Kara’s preferred drink is actually grape soda, but she’s kind of embarrassed because people used to mock her about it in college, but she always has a stash for when she’s felling down.
8). Kara is a low key horder. She hordes food, mostly because she’s always hungry, but she also hordes pictures. She snaps pictures all the time, of her and Alex, of her and Winn, of Cat when she thinks Cat isn’t paying attention, of her and James and her and Lucy, and her and Eliza. She keeps them on her phone, but she also prints them out. She has entire boxes filled with photo albums, but it never really seems to make up for the pictures she doesn’t have. Her mother, her Aunts Astra and Lara, her uncle Jor-El, all her friends from Kryptonopolis.
9). Kara paints as a way to preserve the memories. She paints Krypton over and over and over. She has a climate controlled storage locker filled with hundreds of canvases, all of them of Krypton, of her mother, of Astra and Lara and Jor-El and Kal as a baby, and the red sky at dawn and sunset, and every time she finishes a piece, she wraps it carefully, so it will last forever, then takes it to the locker. She never looks at them, because it hurts too much.
10). Kara’s college roommate kept trying to set her up with girls, because Kara was addicted to gay and lesbian romances. Not because she identifies as a lesbian, but because she found a huge catharsis in the whole in the closet/coming out
Bonus: Once she ran out of published lgbt lit, Kara discovered fanfic, something she’s never, ever mentioned to Alex.
What are the Jewish allusions in Superman's backstory?
Immigrant from a ruined homeland/homeworld, torn between his alien identity and his current one.
Hailing from a dying race, saved by his family members to be picked up by a loving adopting family, AKA Moses.
He has the name Kal-El. El being Hebrew for God and a common last syllable in many Hebrew names, including Samuel, Israel, Daniel.
His core value is the Jewish value of ‘Tikkun Olam’ or ‘Fixing the World’, which means that when the world is broken (as it literally was in Superman’s case) it’s the duty of those powerful enough to do whatever they can to fix it. To leave the world a better place than they found it.
The Jewish creators of Superman said they were inspired by the Antisemitism they experienced and by the biblical tale of Samson to create Superman as a hero for the downtrodden, an alien immigrant who’s special and serves his adoptive home.
