This 80-something couple has been coming to my boss for like 20 years, always together. Not much English but always sweet and smiley, never cause me drama outside of billing issues which aren't their fault, lovely folks.

Well, daughter scheduled just the wife for today.

Turns out the husband passed a couple weeks ago.

I bought the wife flowers en route to work.

When I gave them to her in the waiting room, she teared up, which made me tear up, and I gave her a big long hug.

Don't need to share a language to get the message across.

Most days, I truly love this job and the people we look after. Seven bucks well spent.
