i'm obsessed with the fact that sasuke is like barely a character. he is just exactly what he needs to be to fulfill his purpose and that's it. it's like the dumbledore thing of "you've kept him alive so he can die at the proper moment" except it's "you've kept him alive so he can kill his only loved one at the proper moment" which is WORSE. he's a gun that itachi is pointing at himself. he's the vengeance of the uchiha. he's a clingy affectionate kid whose real personality you never see again because it's not what itachi needs from him. he's a living karmic debt first and a person second and he unhesitatingly gives up his body and his eyes and his identity in order to fulfill it.
