Reasons for Women to Lift
Manipulate your physical environment: With increased strength and stability, you can perform commonplace tasks more easily, ask for help less often, and feel more self-confident and badass.
Prevent osteoporosis: Lifting weights doesn't strengthen only muscle, but also bone. This makes you less fragile now and in the future. Loss of bone density is both common and dangerous for women as we age.
Prevent injury: Core stability and muscle mass can make injuries (minor or major) less likely and less severe.
Defend yourself: Strength can make it harder to physically overpower and restrain you. Muscle mass may make you appear less vulnerable so that you are not targeted. However, if this is your #1 goal, it's best to also learn from a professional how to escape dangerous situations using a weapon or just your body.
Look your best: Increasing the mass of your muscle groups allows you to change your body shape within the bounds of your individual genetics.
Body recomposition: Weight lifting can help clinically underweight women increase their weight and BMI without putting on only fat. Weight liftingcan also be incorporated into fat loss plans because it burns calories. The process of putting on muscle mass and/or decreasing fat to reach the weight and body fat % that make you feel most healthy and energetic is called body recomposition.
If you're injured, pregnant, or disabled, exercising with weights or other resistance can probably still benefit you, but you should talk to a doctor or physical therapist first.

Body goals 😀 Body dysmorphia 😦
Don't compare your body to others--especially professionals, experts, or influencers who may have plastic surgery or steroids.
Dangerous/extreme starvation and dehydration are forms of self-harm. If you are considering or performing self-harm, you can tell your close friends or trusted family members, but it's best to seek help from a certified professional too.
Don't exercise for imaginary observers. Do it because it gives you endorphins and confidence and physical health.
Supplements 😀 Poison 😦
It's always best to do research before you start any supplement, and you might want to ask your doctor too. You can even achieve great results without taking anything at all.
I will block you if you mention steroids except to warn against their dangers in good faith. Fitness is about celebrating your body and exploring its natural genetic limits for strength and awesomeness. Don't harm yourself trying to be someone you're not.
Caffeine is popular for a reason, but consuming more than 400 mg in 24 hours is not recommended by the FDA. It's also best to consume it more infrequently so you don't develop a resistance.
