that 6 dollar pair of shades they stuffed in their bra from old navy? no ones going to miss it.

the pleather purse someone took the tags off at target? could’ve been miscounted product.

those earrings they slipped in their bag from Clair’s? chances are it fell off the rack and under the counter gone forever.

what most of you fail to realize is that this shit is worth practically nothing. these companies make huge profits off of minimum wage employees and selling cheap crap for 10 times what it’s worth.

and for any of you who say it “harms the employees”. the kind of people who lift can’t afford this shit either and are working minimum wages too. why are some store workers worth more to you than others?

long story short, keep stealing. steal anything and everything. steal as much useless stuff as you can. literally no one cares. five finger discounts ftw.

QUICK TIP FOR SHOPL/FTERS

The moment you walk out of the store with said merchandise, it becomes a crime. When you're shopping, there's no laws that says you can't put merchandise in your purse, another shopping bag, etc. So when you are sussed no one can get you in trouble for taking the items out of your purse, pocket, etc and putting it back.

This is certainly true in SOME states, but in the majority of places, (also notice the difference in laws of countries, states and shops), that is NOT the case.

The laws are, like stated above, individual for each place.

In many places it's already considered a CRIME if you conceal stuff or if you put it in your pocket or purse.

So please DO NOT be reckless and just believe this to be true where you live. If you want to be sure, look up the laws for shoplifting where you live, or company policies.

QUESTION. Look it up. Be safe. I just wanna save y'all from putting things in your purse without a second thought and then being tackled by security.

LADIES, GENTS AND NONBINARY FRIENDS, I've got a question for all of u.

So, apart from cameras and LP, one thing that makes l1fť1nğ harder than it could be, are alarm towers (or EAS security systems). I bet y'all know what they are.

However we found quite a few ways to get around these tricky things, be it grab & run (rather primitive), cutting tags or foil bags.

BUT, and this might be something only technic geeks and very experienced l1fters can answer,

Is there a way to turn off the EAS systems temporarily? They usually work with radio frequency and thus communicate with the tags on the items.

You'll have to imagine the towers as being surrounded by an invisible magnetic field. And since they work with frequencies and are electronic, wouldn't it be possible to block not the items, but the overall signal?

I mean it works with phones, why wouldn't it work with EAS systems?

Employees WILL sus you if you give them unopened, completely new packages and say you haven't opened them since last week when you bought them. They just have to check the cameras and will see you? Ig it would work in a few shops though. Did any of y'all ever try that?

I used to be extremely open about my lifting habits. Almost everyone knew I lifted. And my family knew I had an interest.

I remember a conversation I had with my mom a long time ago. She works as a manager at a large grocery store chain, and she told me, “It doesn’t matter what you steal. Even if you’re starving, there is always another way. By stealing for needs, you just bring yourself down to the level of people who rob banks.”

I told her she reeked of privilege and she didn’t speak to me for the rest of the day.

It makes me wonder, how do we all come out with such different views of morality? Many people in this community are anti-capitalist and very supporting of all races, genders, and sexualities. And there are others who cry after they steal a chapstick and condemn anything other then white heterosexuality.

I can’t say I’m a very moral person. I scam people, I’m somewhat rude, and I have no shame when I put my own needs over others.

However I know those things aren’t moral. I know that saying that thing or doing that isn’t a good thing to do.

I don’t feel the same way about shoplifting. I never have. I cannot find sympathy for large chains that exploit their workers to mass produce cheap things. And I don’t think it brings anyone down. I don’t think it makes anyone less moral. Whether you’re stealing high end makeup or essentials, shoplifting isn’t immoral.

I’m glad this community exists. I’m glad it helps people. Both lifting and otherwise.

This isn’t going to be my last large text post of the day–in fact it was originally written as part of another one. However I’m planning a very large lifting trip with my partners soon.

EUROPEAN SHOPS LIST WITH TIPS

I kept seeing lists like this for USA/ UK/ Canada & Australia but never for Europe. Like whole Europe, so here we go. Keep in mind that every shop is different, this is based on my OWN personal experience. Scoop your local shops before.

also. i’m still a baby lifter so lol

rating based again on my own experience and my local shops.

1- very easy

10- very hard

Super/ Hypermarkets

AUCHAN 2/10 - cameras only in electronics part. Love to lift make up from there, i conceal while walking towards beverages/ snacks. RFID tags on some make-up, but can easily be peeled and eventually be stick to a random carton box somewhere. Can’t do walkouts.

Carrefour 3/10 if you don’t go for make-up. - in my local one, the make up section has its own towers and checkout. It’s good for non-make-up small items. Cameras only in electronic section. Can’t walkout.

Kaufland - 5-6/10 pumped up with cameras everywhere, I did not try to lift from there.

LIDL - 5-6/10 same as above.

Make-up/ drugstores

D&M - 4/10 I didn’t lift from there, but someone i know did. Plenty of cameras, didn’t spot a blindspot, I’d conceal while walking.

Douglas - 6/10 I got sussed so fucking hard years before I started lifting. I assume it’s pumped with cameras. I woudn’t try if I woudn’t have experience.

Sephora - 8/10 My local Sephora is pumped with cameras and LP. I woudn’t.

Clothing

H&M - 2-3/10 if you have magnet. magnet tags. Unattended changing rooms, the changing rooms have a lot of clothes in it. I’d go when it’s busy.

Berska - 3/10 hook tags. Same as above.

Stradivarius - 4/10 hook tags. LP is quite insistent.

Pull & Bear - 3/10 hook tags.

Sinsay - 1/10. Guys, I can’t tell you how grateful I am for Sinsay. My first lift was there. My local sinsays have carton tags with “alarm security” and that’s all. No RFIDs. No hard tags. No LP. Even not cameras my dudes. If you know when to go (my favorite time is Friday - Sunday afternoons.) you will find busy SAs, unattended changing rooms full of clothes! It’s basically all you can eat in lifting form!

TerraNova - 2/10 hook tags. The SAs seemed pretty uninterested.

Zara - 4/10 hook tags. LP walking IN the shop.

LC Waikiki - 3/10 hook tags. The shop is quite big, the changing rooms are unattended.

Special category for

Jumbo - 1/10. Carton tags with “alarm security”, nothing else. Go when busy, conceal while walking

Rossmann - 4/10. Especially in smaller stores are a lot of mirrors, very expensive items are behind glass and the parfume and makeup section is often full with cameras. The staff is, from my experience very attentive, so be sneaky. Most items untagged. Or v easy to remove while walking.

Rewe - 4-5/10. There's a lot of cameras, but if you're slick you can find blindspots rather easily. But be careful because theres a LOT of staff walking around, like, a LOT.

Peek & Cloppenburg - 3-4/10. The staff is usually busy and there's often a ton of clothes in the changing rooms. Lot's of clothes there are untagged, but the expensive ones are. Blindspots can be found. Sometimes the staff watches the changing rooms closely.

Nanunana - 2/10. If even. Little staff, they're usually on the counter. Little to no cameras. Almost only paper tags. No towers. No security. You could legit just fill a bag and walk out.

NewYorker - 4/10. Cameras and towers are given. Most stuff requires a magnet or a hook, little is untagged, but some is. Staff isn't that attentive. But there's electronics in the changing rooms that say they go off if you remove tags to prevent theft, i never tried it before but i don't think i will either.

Thalia - 2/10. Ik it's a bookstore, but some lift from it and some don't. No towers. But cameras. A decent amount of staff. Many blindspots. It's almost too easy to be true.

On the website you can see pictures of all their tags and towers with names and descriptions! This has allowed me to know exactly what a tower does and how it looks. Is it a magnet detector as well as a tag detector? Well, you can find out here. Same with different tags. This will keep you up to speed on everything capitalism is trying to stop us from doing.
