Frosted Flowers Meet Again ||C L O S E D||

“Right. Probably a little bit weird seeing me as my grown up tall and handsome self again.” Mabui said to her, flawlessly slipping into his normal personality in an attempt to cover up the fact that he was in fact nervous about seeing her again. Though not really for reason’s she would probably think. “It’s great to see you again though; you look just as good as you did before.” He didn’t bother specifying when ‘before’ was.
He guessed that she was probably headed to where he’d just come from; but he was hoping he could talk to her for a bit before she either became buried behind a stack of baking supplies…. Or at least before she dropped whatever it was she was carrying, cause it looked like she was as nervous as he was. Which with Athen he knew tended to end in her rubbing her wrist’s practically raw.
Athen snapped out of her mental panic when she realized what Mabui had just said. She let out a tiny scoff. “Yeah, that’s right. Although I think it’s a little more weird how fast you’ve returned to your shameless self,” she said after rolling her eyes. Athen was about to continue but then stopped herself. She shouldn’t be talking to him like this. She previously planned to only greet him once she arrived on the Sun and then try to avoid him the rest of the time, going against Ten’s advice. But here she was, talking to him with her nerves on high alert. Things definitely weren’t going as planned.
She cast her eyes downward, examining the floor instead of looking at his face. “So…why did you come looking for me again?” Athen asked.
“Hey! What’s that suppose to mean?” Mabui said, though the childish puppy like pout that seemed to be something that he practiced daily-though really he didn’t. What kinda weirdo spent hours in front of their mirror perfecting a face that could get him out of trouble? Certainly not him! Okay, so maybe he did-showed that he knew exactly what she was referring to. But—if Athen wasn’t at least a little annoyed with him then thing’s really couldn’t have been counted as normal.
At her wondering of why he’d gone looking for her though a slight nervousness crept back up on him. He really could say the reason why he’d gone looking for her right away—well not so soon after they’d meet again. And so he played it ‘cool’ and said in a slightly joking manor. “What! I can’t come and see you? And here I thought were were friends Miss. Virgo.”
At the sound of his voice, Athen lifted her gaze up away from the floor and saw the puppy-like pout on Mabui's face. It seemed like he hadn't forgotten how to do that pout either. And she still melted internally from seeing it, but she would never give him the satisfaction of showing the effects he and his little actions had on her. Instead, she raised an eyebrow at him, feigning annoyance. "Ah, I see that you're back to using the pout too," she said. 'And also good at pretending as if nothing happened' she added in as an afterthought.
She decided at that moment that she should take the same approach. For now, she would act like nothing happened and keep him happy which he deserved for sacrificing his life for her. But eventually, she would have to stay away from him, the only way in her mind that would stop him from repeating the same mistake.
At Mabui's small joke about being friends, Athen replied jokingly as well, "Well I am a princess and I don't recall you arranging a private audience with me, Mr. Ankaa."
