Do you think 27 is still young?
I think 70 is young if you know how to move through the world
I have an end-of-life patient to whom I spoke today. She burst out laughing and said, "It was all such fun. I just had so much fun." I wish this for everyone. I wish that we each would meet death laughing, with little regret and even less fear.

More Hermes because this unhinged guy is somehow curing my burnout
Here, I thank the Friend of Man. Great communicator and governor of my tongue. He who gives temperance to my conversations. He who gives me observant gaze, who tells me 'hey, listen to this' in moments of pivotal words being exchanged.
He who perks my ears up when seemingly innocuous speech is flowing. Who drops bits of information for me to pick up. He who gives me wise counsel with a wry smile. Who pings my mind when to read between the lines in someone's words.
How many times have I walked by just to hear life-altering speech? How many times has the moment been just right for me to enter, for my words to pull just so from someone's lips? How the mood has been perfect for idled honesty when before there was none? When someone else's phone notification gave me warning, just when they leave it with me?
I thank you, Hermes. For watching over me, and giving me what information I need to make educated movements forward. I walk with as much grace as I can muster because of you.

hihihi i've been following this blog for a long time and I just wanted to say it's nice to see you still going!
Hey thanks man!! I really appreciate it! I think this blog's been going on for 14 years now. Crazy how time flies.
Hope you're well!
