Recently there have been many articles, stories, and events about terrorist attacks on the United States and other parts of the world. One of the recent attacks have been the San Bernardino shooting in California. The San Bernardino shooting was an event created by two terrorist( a man and a women). The women and her husband dismantled 14 people and wounded 21 others. It has been said that the women a woman pledged allegiance to the Islamic State in a Facebook post, which is what gave the FBI an idea about the connections to terrorism. Tashfeen Malik (the women involved I the shooting) was said to have been influenced by Al quieda , and praised allegiance towards them. This was one of the deadliest shootings in the last three years. It is said that the couple were trying to erase all of their tracks connecting them to the attack such as cellphone calls, footprints, and patterns connecting them to the weapons. Both Tashfeen Malik and her husband both ended up dead on the scene by multiple bullets by the L.A law enforcement. There’s a bigger picture here thn this massacre in L.A There have been many other events revolving around terrorism this year alone, in the last few years. But in regards of the terrorist acts that have occurred in the last few months, they have been on American soil. Usually terrorist actions have occurred else where in the world. The U.S have faced terrorist acts for many years ever since 9/11., and in many cases before 9/11, and we are still dealing with it today. Al Quieda( especially ISIS) have been around for over a year, and have recently been making movements on the United states and other countries such as Paris. ISIS have stated whom exactly they are targeting and its far more then the United states. It is the United States, their allies, and other countries that ISIS feel were involved in anything that effected them negatively. We need to do something about this NOW. Such as the California event, many people living in the United States are praising ISIS, and “worshipping them to the point where their creating massacres on our soil. How can you eliminate all terrorist when there are many of them living among us? This massacre in California is tragic, and should really open the eyes of congress, and the president of the United States. If a change does not occur towards gun laws, and or intense strategies towards all terrorists targeting the United States, then we will face more tragedies just like 9/11. May god be with us all, and hopefully we as a nation can overcome he terrorist threat eats made towards us.

Project 2:Multimedia

It took some time for me to realize exactly how i was going to keep my focus on project 2 towards project 1. My first idea was to focus on a specific type of crime since my first project was about recidivism in the prison system towards men. Doing so lead me to realize i would basically be switching my topic focus. Why is highschool set up the way it is ?

Highschool was full of many craps that made people never wanting to go back. It was full of test, same courses through out the day nevertheless being the common core, automatic schedules students had barely any control over, and a bunch of mandatory things students must attend. Many might describe it as “ being on lockdown”, being in jail, or even being punished. 

I feel like highschool definately  had its moments of horror, feeling like prison. For example taking the highschool regents. Regents was a mandatory test that all students have to take, and pass  in order to graduate. To make things worse theres five of them. Theres an English test, Algebra, Science, and two histories. Passing the exams arent as hard as it seems, but the anxiety kicks in when you realize failing the test will lead to a summer school completion. Many students have trouble with the courses revolving around a specific regent test, leading to failure, which shakes future grauduation even more. This i one of the ways  highschool feels like prison because of the 5 mandatory exams we have zero choice of taking.Many even decide to graudate with an advanced regents diploma, but that would mean an additional  4 exams would have to be taken.

Now that i am a college student stressing over the quality of work given, but releafover the timing i have to do assignments, amount of days off from school, the self creation of my own schedule, and even the increase of network from the highschool to college transition its self, i realized highschool was meant to be the way it is. All the stress and zero free time in highschool was meant to lead to a life of stress and “controlled” free time. As ridiculous as it sounds the difference is we control our destiny in college., or atleast a majority of it. Many students cant handle college,and state how much they miss highschool. I under any circumstances beg to differ. I do not miss highschool, but i do love college and everything about it, even the stress. 

College is when you you meet your life long friends, future husband/wife, possible employees/employers, and co workers. Every one should go if they get the chance to.

Random thoughts

 Growing up in a bad neighborhood comes with a ton of negatives. For example drugs, violence, and even poverty. Those are some of the things that i face every day living in a bad neighborhood. But those are also the elements that drives by ambition more and more every day. The violence makes me want to distance my self from it rather then join. I have been asked to join gangs many times through out my life time, but i had the heart to say no. I was always that kid whom was very cool with gang members but never had to join. I felt it would be best to keep it that way as well.

With that being said i still knew i had to get away from it all. Violence in an environment that a person sleeps in should increase the drive of wanting to get away from it, rather then staying . Joining gangs automatically comes with rivals  automatically have the instincts to attack you because of territories. Meaning even more awareness of ones paranoia and back. Its much easier to stay away from it.

Poverty- I hate poverty very much. I dislike seeing those whom does int have a roof over his or her head. Its even more sad when a person living out side cant have any food because of resources, and have to ask strangers. Poverty has been around for ever and will probably be around forever. Its just my ambition in school, and athletics that  keeps hope alive, and faith in existence. If i keep working hard in college and working hard in my sports then i can increase the chances significantly of success occurring, and wealth being apart of my life. Hence, I plan to work hard to the point where money is not a problem for my future family nevertheless food on the table and a roof over our heads.

In the end as i always say…. I have no fear only ambition… and thats what drives me!

Goals are something every one sets and wants to achieve. Some goals are tougher to meet than others, but it depends on the person, the goal, and what it takes to meet the goals. For example one goal I had when I was in junior high was to leave team chubby weight. I graduate from high school on the honor roll, and I wanted to make it into college.

I was a short fat kid, and I didn’t like it. I didn’t know it was true until everyone from my neighborhood was telling me how much weight I had gained over that last year or so. When I was younger from ages 10-13 I was very chubby everywhere on my body. I felt insecure, and lacked confidence. But I had a goal. My goal was to simply become skinny, o to a point where I felt way more confident, and less insecure. Sadly at the time I didn’t have a mindset on how I was going to lose weight, I just knew I wanted to lose the weight. Basketball was my favorite sport at the time. I played it everyday in my neighborhood, and five times a week at school. Out of nowhere as the school year went by I started getting many compliments from people about how fat I wasn’t anymore. Then when the confidence increased, and the physical changes were self-viewable, I decided I wanted to become muscular. My stepfather gave me weights to start lifting, and from that point on I can state I went from fat to muscular, rather than fat to skinny.  

  Another goal I had when I was younger was to be another member of the “ first generation college student” from my mother’s side. My brother whom is a few years older then me was the only person to go to college before me from my mother’s side of the family. This was when I realized I had to be continuously scholarly. I was always on the honor roll in junior high school, and top 10 percent chart. I knew in high school I had to shine again.  I was on So that’s exactly what I did. I was on the honor roll in high school for all four years. I graduated from high school being number 11 on the top students in the whole entire school. Then I went on to become a college student.  Thus far my first year of college I was on the honor roll the whole year. I will continue to be an honor roll member for the rest of my college career.

Project Blog reflection....

I realized that every one of my classmates have talent and creative thinking skills. Some of the responses to others post as well as my own leaves me full of thoughts. Thoughts about what I could add to my own web map.  I think everyone’s creativity towards this project is going to show on his or her projects especially since this project had to come from what we felt should be researched and talked discussed rather then the professor giving us a list to choose from which is limited. I liked this idea from the professor better, it gives us all a chances to express our own ideology.

  I slept almost until 11 o'clock and I still thought I didn’t have enough sleep. Every day, there is a lot of work to do and I feel I don’t sleep enough every day. I believe everyone has the feeling. Always keep awake until two or three in the morning. I have a friend, he is very busy, almost go to bed every day at three A.M, and in a week, he needs to get up at 5 because he needs to work at 6 in the morning.Why we are not getting enough sleep? Do we really have so many things to do every day? What are we doing every day? Why do we sleep less and less? With these questions, I began to ask my friends. (I only ask them about the weekends, because everyone has different schedules on week days.)   First I asked my boyfriend. He said, he usually get up at 9 in the morning on weekends, and then he spend 30 mins to take a shower, later 9:30 to 10 he needs to  eat the breakfast. And then start playing games from 10 to 11, and then to prepare lunch.  After lunch is his study time. From 12 to 3, he usually writes his homework, and then starts watching movies or TV shows to relax, or if he needs to buy food for the week, about 2 hours. So from 3pm to 5pm is his relaxing time. Starting at 5pm, he needs to perpare the dinner, then eat dinner, probably need to use the last 2 hours. (most of the Chinese food needs to be prepared for at least 1 hours, so every day he needs to spend a lot of time to cook. At the 7pm, he will continue to study and do his homework, he will choose to play games when he needs a rest. He usually go to bed around 12 am, but he used to lie on the bed, watching his phone, so he’s not going to sleep until 1 o'clock somtimes until 2. So I about the statistics, on average (weekends), his daily sleep time is 7 hours, the cooking time is 3.5 hours, the stud time is 6 hours, rest time is 5 hours. Shopping time is 2 hours. Because he doesn’t need to work, so he has plenty of time to relax and rest on the weekend. But from his schedule, it shows that he spend a lot of time on video game and smartphones. This shows that modern technology and the network has become a part of our life, especially in our generation, if the daily life is without a computer, network, smartphones, we will feel that we lost something in our lives, I believe that 99% of people will not not use to live without the network.   And then I asked me another good friend, she and my boyfriend is not the same, she needs to go to work. Every day she sleep 6 hours, 1 hour for a meal, study for 4 hours, 1 hour to take a bath, work 8 hours, the remaining four hours she used to watch movies on the Internet to relax, or play games. Thus, the network has become an inseparable part of the modern people. She is so busy and tired every weekend but she still choose to spend few hours for the internet. So I believe that the Internet is one of the most important reasons that causes us to sleep less and less. Of course I need to do more research to get an answer. My friends around me have given me a lot of help. I will continue to study until I get a more perfect answer.

At first after reading the first few lines of your proposal I thought to myself “ this isn’t blog 5 let me skip to another blog”, but now I’m glad I took the time to read the whole thing. This is beyond an excellent topic to research. Technology has already taken over our world, especially in this generation. It’s a lot about our smart phones and computers. Nine times of ten if a person is not paying attention to something or someone its because of a reasons involving television whether it’s a phone, computer, or even a TV. I look forward to hearing and seeing what you come up with.

My Project

I am very happy that for this class, I get to do a project on a topic of my choice. And for my topic I chose to discuss the lying and cheating that goes on within the organization that is the New England Patriots, and the guy that so many love to hate, Tom Brady. In this research project, that now I know so much about research projects thanks to that very, very long article we read about research papers and projects, I will be going through the various steps of a proper research project and following the given guidelines for this specific project. For this project, we have to do a lot of research, which I have done. I have looked up a lot of information on these cheaters called the New England Patriots, and I do not like them. It very well could be because they are the rival team of my favorite team in all of sports, the Buffalo Bills, or maybe it could be because they are just so darn good and I am bitter about it. They go to the Super Bowl every few years, they win the division almost every single year, and worst of all they beat the Bills like 20 out of the last 22 games they played each other. And as much as it pains me to type this right now, despite all of the cheating allegations, Tom Brady might be the best quarterback of all time. They have done everything from “Spy-gate” back in the early 2000′s, more recently “Deflate-gate” which took over Sportscenter and ESPN for about 8 months, and most recently “Headset-gate” and within my project and my web I will delve deeper into each of these scandals. My goal is to get my class and my peers to prove these guys guilty and so that they hate them just as much as I do. Hopefully they are already Patriot haters in the class so I have people to agree with me, and also hopefully there are not any Patriot fans that I have to hear crap from. When I present this project, I plan to create a poster of all of their different scandals and all of the bullshit that this team gets away with and that includes quarterback Tom Brady, head coach Bill Belichick, and team owner Robert Kraft who are all suspicious and most likely guilty for their actions. I do not like the Patriots and I hope one day they get stripped of all of their Super Bowl titles because they are all cheaters. Thanks for reading and I hope you all enjoy my project.

This is a really interesting topic. I am not a huge sports or football fan, but because it talks about the corruption of the Patriots football team, I would love to learn more. I have never heard of any of these scandals before, which makes me excited to see the presentation of your project. Do you think the Patriots are the only sports teams that are “cheaters”? I also wonder if money and bribery is used to cheat when it comes to the teams that are most popular or win the most. It is sad that some sports aren’t about teamwork and the real game of football. Publicity and the media have changed football in a negative way. It is sad that Tom Brady is perceived as the most talented and attractive football player, when he could possibly be a “cheater”. How are you setting up your visual map of this project? Maybe it would be interesting if the map was on a layout of a football field. Again, i can’t wait to hear more about this topic, as it is a hushed topic that many aren’t familiar with.

Well first off, I love sports. I love fighting (MMA and boxing), football, and basketball. I’m going to assume you love sports, especially football with the amount of hatred you have towards Tom Brady and the Patriots because a neutral person to all sports wouldn’t just have this must hatred, even if a team has been in cases for potential cheating. I have heard all about it through the media, and from peers. Watching the super bowl last year was an intense game that I loved very much. I cannot wait to hear what you have to say about the deflate gate at the showcase.

Project 1 topic

My project 1 topic will be on the poorest part in Buffalo. For as long as I can remember I have always been interested in poverty and ways to prevent it. My dream job is have my own charity and travel around the world helping those who are less fortunate than I am. This is a topic that is extremely important to me because I feel that everyone should live on equal terms. Too many people get stuck in unavoidable situations that causes them to be unsuccessful. I want everyone to have the same opportunity that someone like me has had in this country. I Understand that Buffalo is one of the poorest parts in Buffalo so I feel like this will be a great topic to do my project on.  I feel that many people will be interested in our class considering that we are all living in the city for the time being. It would interest some people in this class if I talked about important things in The city of Buffalo. We all know that poverty has been a huge problem here in the United States of America. The city of Buffalo is the one of the poorest cities in America. I would like to come up with something in my project that would address this problem. I want to show what the city has been doing to fix the poverty rates in this specific area. I also want to come up with ways to prevent this problem that we call poverty in that area. statistically the eastern part of Buffalo is the worst part. That area not only has the highest crime rates, This area also is the poorest. But that is expected. When ever you have a poor area you can expect the areas crime rates to be extremely high as well. For my project I plan on demonstrating my topic with a well organized poster. The poster will have Pictures indicates poverty in that particular area. I also plan on having a bunch of statistics as to why this area of Buffalo has not been excelling from an economic standpoint of view. I want pictures on my poster that shows the efforts that have been made by certain people or groups in order to decrease the poverty rates as well. I feel that my project will come out great. I agree with your statement in regards to how important it is to address poverty and its significance of being recognized. Many people don’t see the big picture when it comes to poverty. Poverty is actually everywhere around the world, and I thought I was the only one whom wants it to change. Every one can say they want poverty to decrease rapidly, but not everyone is taking there time to create ways to help poverty, even if it doesn’t work. It’s about ideas!!!! Blog 5....

  There are many types of criminals, as well as crimes but my project basically focuses on men adults that re integrate into society after leaving prison.  My topic will represent things that criminals either do after they are released in prison, and things that happen to prisoners when they enter prison.

Reintegrating into society after leaving prison is basically saying that a prison is able to be released from prison, going back out into the world they “ he or she” has been away from for a significant amount of time, possibly causing mental changes that may or may not impact ones ability to change after prison or be successful at something he or she is trying to accomplish, regardless of what it is. Many people don’t understand that prison actually has positive effects on people, which is a change in attitude towards the “former” incarcerate”. But there are many negative effects to long-term imprisonment that prisoners face. Many people believe the only negative effects it has on former incarcerates are their abilities to get a job.  Well that’s partially correct, but not even half fully correct.  Criminals majority of the times in this world face cycles, barriers, become more of a statistic including being a long term incarcerate to begin with, and other things such as jobs, skills, and “native” to society’.

In regards to being natives to society I am stating that it is no secret that when a person is in jail for many years, it becomes his or her life. Which is sad because that means only one thing, jail has become that prisons life, which causes one to do crime again, just to end up back behind bars.  Which causes incarcerates to remain just another statistic, and be involved in the cycle.  But that is not the case for all prisoners or former prisoners.

Data shows that many prisoners seek religion post being released because they feel god released them, and that it is probably god’s choice, to give them another choice. Which could be true, but I wouldn’t know because I have not been to prison, and I do not plan on going. But because former inmates were prisoners, they have problems seeking jobs, but must conquer a job some time after they are released, which is forced by parole officers that they get automatically for a specific amount of months, or even years. Which could be tough for many because all them years in jail could’ve been time for one to gain many skills for specific jobs of interest. Besides the cycle, criminals face  recidivism, specific jobs, whether they get involved in them or not, or even if they have a choice because data also shows certain jobs criminals get after being released from jail after a long period of time involve are  physical, and involve “labor”. It might have to do with masculinity, lack of choices, or even  self discipline. the skills to get a job to begin with and its effects, troubles, and how to become successful post long-term imprisonment.

There are ways to become successful after prison…But it is not easy…so don’t go there….otherwise..your risking your own future…

Blog 5....

  There are many types of criminals, as well as crimes but my project basically focuses on men adults that re integrate into society after leaving prison.  My topic will represent things that criminals either do after they are released in prison, and things that happen to prisoners when they enter prison.

 Reintegrating into society after leaving prison is basically saying that a prison is able to be released from prison, going back out into the world they “ he or she” has been away from for a significant amount of time, possibly causing mental changes that may or may not impact ones ability to change after prison or be successful at something he or she is trying to accomplish, regardless of what it is. Random thoughts

You ever wondered why we shouldn’t take life for granted? Why we all should take every day life as simple motivation to do better or want to do better? MY every day life is violence, minorities, and crime. But I try my best to over come all of it and not become another statistic involved in action and these. Whether its in my home time which is NYC, or here in buffalo where I go to school I overcome all the obstacles that hides its self as barriers.

  The every day life that I take as motivation is mainly the violence and the poverty. The poverty motivated me being I come from a poor family. I currently live in the lower class, and I’m not one to “ have feelings”, because I’m “ emotionless’, but from time to time it actually does hurt. But a person can only be hurt for so long. I overcame high school and “ paid by debt to all the work in there, and now the college life that I am currently living is what I am entitles to have. Its like I had to go from that “place” to get to this one and if I had to do everything in the past all over again to experience this life, then I would do it in a heart with no problem because its all about sacrificing. Those who don’t takes risk will no how far they can actually go in life which is why I grind as hard as I do every day especially since I am not only grinding for me. In fact, I am honestly putting in as much work as I am mainly for my family. If you’re not working hard to makes someone happy even if its your self, then what is your existence? I always ask my self that, and the best thing about it knows that my existence matters a hundred percent. We are brought into this world to do something historical whether its historical to the world or historical to us, just simply let it be historical, and make money while your at it because lets be honest, we are born to make money then die when its our time. Ever thing in this world is money, wherever you look its money. With that being said no matter how hard life gets I will not give up and regardless of where life takes me you will find me with a smile.
