LP: wazzzzzzzzzaaaaaaaaap
DC: Well, apparently you are talking to me in an ironically crude manner for some reason.
LP: u kno it biobrome
DC: I couldn't say why though.
LP: But seriously how excited are you?
LP: the sun came UP this morning
DC: Reasonably. The lack of hype has be-
LP: Yeah. I know. Nobody's been paying any attention at all.
DC: Not very, really. The sun's public relations department have failed to generate any real interest, and their R&D and creative teams aren't producing any standout new material.
LP: Right? If SOLCorp doesn't get their act together, I'm not going to be surprised if Alpha100i tries to make a move on the market.
DC: Oh, that's unlikely to happen. SOLCorp has a total monopoly on the market, that's why they can afford to be so lax. It's a dark, dark day for the star market.
DC: Figuratively speaking.
LP: Did you get a chance to take a look at Alpha100i's new exoplanet?
LP: Astrospeculators say the existence of the first means that there's plenty more that they're just keeping behind the scenes.
DC: Not yet, actually. Been busy with a whole lot of other projects, releases, rumors, etc. Too many irons in the fire, you know how it is. Do elaborate.
LP: The planet is, uh "plane" to see?
LP: I'm actually a little stymied on this one.
LP: Really, though, how do you feel about being our leader?
LP: Anxious at all?
DC: Given that I wasn't aware of the arrangement prior to your query? Evidently not.
DC: However, I have no problems with it now that you mention it.
DC: I presume you're referring to the same co-op game LL mentioned earlier?
LP: What else IS there?
DC: Do you really want me to answer that?
DC: Because I could. In exhaustive detail.
LP: indubitably.
LP: and exhaustively.
LP: Brevity be the soul of wit, shawty.
DC: Ah, but the exercise wouldn't be performed with the goal of wit in mind. I would merely be being informative.
LP: Jeez some days you're drier than a rock
LP: (dear eliza, dear eliza)
DC: Only some days? I'm flattered.
LP: Flattery is the sincerest form of...
LP: wait, no.
DC: Compliments aside, have you been able to discover anything about this game we are planning to play? My usual sources have turned up surprisingly little.
LP: Right! It's been surprisingly hush in the normal streams.
LP: Maybe it's too domestic for some people?
LP: The only thing I was impressed by was the file size.
LP: It's compressed something fierce, something really impressive,
DC: It's worse than that. I've tried looking outside the normal streams as well, and there's STILL almost nothing. There's the occasional piece of information suggesting the co-op element, but even that doesn't appear to have a reliable source.
LP: Hmmmmm.
DC: Wait, file size? How do you know that?
LP: Oh. uh. I.
LP: You know, I couldn't help but be curious!
DC: That's not information that anyone has any reason to release OR be interested in.
DC: And furthermore, it's not information I've seen available anywhere. Have you somehow gotten your hands on a copy already?
LP: The first computer I tried to run it on seized up and died something fierce.
DC: Strange. Are there any system requirements you could find?
LP: I don't know - I was running it straight from the cloud server. Might be something you need to host locally?
DC: You found it on a cloud server? Was there any security around it?
LP: Nothing I couldn't get around... it's not really designed for "security" so much as "obfuscation".
DC: I'm just beginning to wonder why this apparent leak hasn't become more widespread.
LP: It's supposed to be released this coming week, right?
LP: Maybe the people interested in the game are self-selected for patience.
DC: So that makes you some sort of anomaly, then?
LP: Well, I'm kind of in limbo, I guess.
LP: Curiosity killed the cat, for now.
DC: Well, I suppose there's no harm in getting a head start on everyone else.
DC: Assuming you're planning to distribute the game amongst us so we can get started, of course.
LP: Of course, of course.
DC: Oh, I should ask whether you were able to find any other information on this cloud server (or any other connections, etc), but of course the answer will be "no, it was empty other than the game files because this whole thing is terribly, terribly mysterious"
LP: Uhh, yeah, pretty much.
LP: It's also kind of hard to track database contents in the cloud...
LP: being a cloud.
DC: Don't mind me, I'm just starting to get annoyed about how secretive this whole thing has been.
DC: I suppose given that we have the game now I should stop complaining.
LP: I can understand. You're a programmer, you want the data in front of you.
DC: Something like that.
LP: I guess that makes me a storyteller, wanting to see it slowly unfold.
DC: Well, luckily for you, the "Sburb saga" will have to slowly unfold at a later date. I have other things to attend to right now, I'm afraid.
LP: could you BE any more cryptic?
