my portrayal of david is canon-divergent. the last 5-ish minutes of the movie are ignored. david escapes his second massacre with his life. he is haunted by his best friend, jack, and the rest of his undead victims. they urge him to end his life, rather than continue harming innocent people.

dependent on plotting, david can either be found:

ʿ⁰¹ hiding out in the english country side. much like the wolf he was turned by, he terrifies locals of small towns and preys on nearby cattle. for an entire week of every month, david disappears into his small home, attempting to keep his distance from the public. results are varied.

ʿ⁰² david is flown back to america, under the presumption he would return to his family and appear for routine check ups on his wounds. instead, he chooses to wander throughout america, seeking open spaces and understanding people. he hitchhikes, picks up temporary jobs, and leaves a trail of wreckage in his wake.

STORYLINE:

๋࣭ ⭑ 🕸 LIVE FROM LOS ANGELES, IT'S LILY LEECH!

TLDR: liliana bleeker was a main character in a the addam's family type sitcom that ran for two seasons in the 60s. she is turned in the mid-60s and joins the new york coven in the mid-70s. in 2017, liliana rebrands herself as 'lilith leech' and starts hosting a horror themed late night show.

THE BEGINNING... liliana bleeker was born in nowhere, california in 1943. her parents were well-off, good christians with interests in the arts. her schooling and early life were not of note, despite the fact she gravitated towards theatre. at age twenty, she moved to los angeles in hopes of becoming a film star. she was a background in a couple of low-budget, box-office flops and starred in a few pilots that never went to air. in 1963, liliana meets her big break. she's cast as a lead in a sitcom about a family of vampires, playing the blonde-haired, unassuming love interest. even then, the costuming is ‘old-timey’ and based on 30s gothic aesthetics. he show runs for two seasons.

THE TURNING... liliana bleeker meets a mysterious european businessman in the fall of 1963. there was an instant attraction. the two went on several dates, which often ended in his hotel room. unbeknownst to her, he was a rather grumpy vampire with a penchant for proving his point. he felt that her depictions of vampires were unforgivably cheesy and that he would give her a taste of true vampirism. he routinely feeds on her, to which she does not object. the pair date for around a year. liliana is thrilled and amazed by the fact she has met a real vampire, happily being fed on. ratings begin to drop at the middle of their second season, declining and declining, finally, the show is cancelled. liliana, depressed and terrified, begs to be turned. she was given the gift on december 31st of 1964. she awakens on january 1st of 1965, undead and alone.

LIFE IN SHADOWS... liliana abruptly deserts her position and travels the country, relentlessly searching for her maker, leaving bloody messes in her wake. she takes lovers across the country, only to kill them before the morning. money is stolen and wasted. rounds are made across the country. no trace of her maker exists, no matter where in america she looks. years pass in a flurry of lies, and trains, and corpses. her mental state is erratic, her behavior unpredictable to even herself.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK... throughout the 1970s, liliana travels to major cities across america in search of other vampires. she finds just that in new york. the vampires are harsh, leering, demeaning to the completely uninitiated vampire. they have a fortune, but at what cost? liliana is with them for forty odd years not out of love, but out of a fear of being left alone again. she learns everything she knows about being a vampire from this coven: the depravity, sexual freedom, sneakiness, haughtiness. her hair is dyed black, style becoming darker and darker. after a particularly bad break up with a member of the coven, liliana leaves new york.

FAME FOUND... in 2017, liliana hears word of a producer looking for a host for a late night television program that revolves around horror. liliana bleeker changes her name to 'LILITH LEECH.' she does not make it out of the doors of her first audition before being offered the part. the show is not on a particularly successful, nor popular, channel, but the lights are kept on by a devout fanbase (and occasional financial contributions from ms. leech). still, lilith leech becomes a cult figure, renowned for her campy humor, sexual nature, and gothic fashion.

NAME: sookie (SUH-KEY) stackhouse.

AGE: twenty-five.

GENDER & SEXUALITY: female, uses she/her pronouns. bisexual, a bit uncomfortable about it.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTORS: short, athletic build. constant tan. blonde hair and eyebrows. often in light or white clothes, partial to paisley and lace. wears gold earrings that often match the occasion. wears her hair up at work, for the tips.

CAREER: waitress at merlotte's bar.

MISC: sookie is a christian. she is aggravated by taking of the lords name in vain and can be sheltered about taboo topics.

STORYLINE: (if this paragraph looks long and boring... TLDR: read the bold.)

✮ for the three people on tumblr who also know about true blood, my interpretation is currently based off of season one sookie.

the major premise of true blood is that vampires have recently 'come out of the coffin.' the existence of a synthetic blood (tru blood) allows vampires to safely co-exist with humans, at least, they hope. sookie stackhouse is a twenty-five year old waitress in the small town of bon temps, louisiana. bon temp is a typical deep south town: sweltering, gossipy, and prejudiced.

ever since she was a child, sookie has been labeled as off. she makes conversation out of things that have never been uttered, knows what you're going to say before you say it. some say she's a psychic. the one's closest to her know that sookie is a telepath.

at age eleven, her parents tragically die. sookie and her brother, jason, move-in with their grandmother. gran is an open-minded, kind-hearted woman with a fierce protective streak; however, the family routinely ignores and excuses sookie's telepathic ability. her teachers are wary of her, her peers are afraid of her. as she grows older, sookie finds the constant stream of consciousness burdensome. everyone’s darkest secrets are laid bare before her, their innermost desires an open-book. she leaves several jobs due to the inappropriate thoughts of her bosses. spooks often tries to block out the constant talking, but she will listen when she feels she's earned the right. this is up to her discretion and is often petty. blocking thoughts can be significantly harder when she's stressed.

when bon temp's first vampire walks into the bar where she works, sookie finds out she cannot read the minds of supernatural beings. the relief of not hearing other people's thoughts is blissful to her. she actively integrates herself into supernatural spaces and is an advocate for their fair treatment.

DISCLAIMER: true blood is set in the deep south and often (mis-)handled themes of bigotry and intolerance. i'm from the south and i think a lot of the issues in the show come from real life issues in the south; however, being realistic doesn't always mean it needs to be apart of fantasy stories. like, we don't need to constantly see the confederate flag. (please, please, please stop making vampires confederate soldiers). i really love a lot of the characters, but it is clearly a product of the 2000s. i wanted to acknowledge this because i think its important to point out the flaws of their writing. i really wish that true blood could be modernized and re-written to better reflect reality and deepen the storylines, a la, amc's interview with the vampire. alas, true blood just doesn't have the potential that interview had & and that likely will not happen.

DISCLAIMER:  harley quinn, in my opinion,  is the story of a victim of domestic abuse who takes back her life and comes out the other-side changed.  the joker and harley is not a ship, but a past relationship that is important to her character. if i see any harley x joker shit,  i will be hardblocking you and reporting you to a governmental agency so you can be put on a watchlist.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTORS: short / muscular build. about 5'5. stark white skin with a greenish tint. white hair that is often dyed over. acrylic nails done at home, generally one or two broken ones. can be seen wearing colorful make-up with drag leanings most days.

STORYLINE:

harley quinn (born harleen quinzel) is a former childhood gymnast, current outlaw, and life-long anti-hero. she was once a licensed psychiatrist at the arkham asylum. her romantic relationship with her patient, the joker, leads to her being fired from the job. alienated from her former life, harleen becomes obsessed with the joker and willingly participates in his criminal escapades as his self-proclaimed side-kick. the two are involved in a scheme gone-wrong that ends with harleen falling into a vat of dangerous chemicals. her entire body is bleached to an unnatural off-white, and she is imbued with superhuman powers. harleen begins going by harley quinn.

over the course of several years, the joker gaslights and verbally abuses harley, using her trust and obsession with him as a means to motivate her to act in his favor. she frequents gotham jails and hospitals and spends time in the arkham asylum as a patient. an year long stay in the asylum leads her to realize the joker would not come and save her like he said. he does not love her, but utilizes her devotion. this is an awful realization that makes her look back on the past few years without rose-colored glasses.

harley breaks out of the asylum and begins to take her life back, re-introducing herself to the world as an independent name. she now spends her time caring for her highly illegal pet hyenas, kicking ass at the roller derby, and committing high crimes and misdemeanors.

INSPIRATION:  

my harley is inspired by amanda conner and jimmy palmiotti’s HARLEY QUINN run,  BIRDS OF PREY AND THE FANTABULOUS EMANCIPATION OF HARLEY QUINN (2020) [i know. i’m sorry.], HARLEY QUINN: T HE ANIMATED SERIES (2019), and a random assortment of gotham city siren comics i read when i was twelve.  

i have loved harley quinn most of my life; however, i would say she is consistently written terribly and to fulfill weird misogynistic fantasies. there are so many comics and cartoons that piss me off so bad i don’t want to talk about it.  i love her personal style, her bold outrageousness, her stupid new york accent. i love that she left her ugly boyfriend and got romantically involved with an anti-capitalist lesbian terrorist. she deserves to be portrayed with respect for her past and her current sexuality.
