Cage of Zeus || N & Anabel
Zapdos. This legendary bird Pokémon is said to appear only when a thundercloud parts into two halves.
Leagues away from home, N was deep in the Kanto region. The thunderclouds loomed over him. The sky was an eerie black shade. He didnât need to look too far to know there was a storm brewing up above. The sensation of the upcoming weather bested the calming scent of the waters nearby. It almost seemed fitting that heâd find himself at the power plant. As always, it was desolate.
Zapdos had once resided here before scientists flocked here for their research. It was typical human behavior. Ruining others habitats to satisfy their curiosity. But that time has long passed and oddly enough. The pokemon who had migrated outside returned to the plant for shelter.
"Zapdos is returning," N muttered to himself. He could smell the moisture in the air. Its humidity was taking its toll on his lengthy hair. He, too, decided it would be wiser to take refuge inside. He could hear the generator running over the clattering of the raindrops. "I hope you guys donât mind if I stay here for awhile," He pleaded with the native pokemon. "I want to make sure Zapdos is okay. I was grieved to hear that humans had returned for their research," He spoke to a neighboring Pikachu. It was quite docile, allowing N to pet its sleek coat.
"Guess itâll be awhile before I can leave though."
It sounded only natural to say that the Power Plant exerted a magnetic pull.
Anabel found herself before the plant, her lilac gaze sweeping the face of the deserted building. Considering the weather conditions and the surrounding terrain, Hoenn's weather institute immediately came to mind. However there were differences that couldn't be missed. Menacing clouds loomed above, but fortunately, it wasn't pouring rain as it fell to no end in Route 119. Secondly, the institute wasn't inhabited by wild Pokemon. There, Anabel was welcomed at the door by a scientist. Not by a pair of Magnemite.
A flash of crimson recalled Anabel's Alakazam back to his Pokeball. The purplette arrived at the location with his aid of teleportation, but upon entering, her partner wished to withdraw. The radiating static tickled his sensitive mustache.
She didn't mind. The amity of the electric Pokemon told the maiden that no danger hid inside - the only 'hazard' seemed to be the shadowing thundercloud. Zapdos was on its way. Anabel faced no trouble reaching that conclusion; having encountered an electric legendary before, she could sense the faint sting and powerful pressure of the air. A jolt of excitement surged through the humming structure.
The maiden chuckled as a Pikachu tugged on her pants leg and multiple Voltorb rolled past. The two Magnemite led her deep into the Power Plant until they finally reached their desired destination. Anabel lost her playful expression, overtaken by curiosity, and she halted three steps into the room to stare at the striking figure. Tall and lean, long tail of pistachio-hued hair. Who was this guy?
"Hello there," she ventured. "I honestly didn't expect to find another person here."
