I cannot tell you how wonderful and bizarre it is to see people happily and unironically posting good things about Superman and it's MAINSTREAM. It's like I've been living in a desert for 20 years and then suddenly a waterfall has been dumped on me.

People get it now! It's about choosing to be good! It's about choosing to be kind! The power fantasy is not "man who is powerful." The fantasy is "man who is powerful is GOOD because he CHOOSES to be GOOD." And that is something that is powerful! And something that is DIFFICULT in a world that can so often be cruel. And no it's not "boring." Choosing to be good and kind in a cruel world? That's RADICAL.

I love how this is the universal message of supergirl. No matter the version a good Kara is someone who is trying. I really like the idea of that being the core of her character. Choosing kindness and being good I feel is a lot more relatable then superman natural boyscoutness.
