She was a failed experiment.The lab she was in was abandoned.After 10 years she finally woke up ,only to find that she was frozen in a capsule and her wings were particularly bones with flesh making them unusable (for now).Dream didn’t have any memory before her awakening.She found her ID in the files of the lab.The report said that she is a hydrid of shadow and Pegasus,she was born with wings but unfortunately they had to make them unusable (cutting off feathers and flesh,because they caused her infection).She got out of the lab only to find that she was seeing things.Later on she found that a spirit was attached to her soul.And that was only the start of countless tragedies she’ll encounter.
