Is it wrong of me to be afraid of reaching out to my family (aunts and uncles) because of the fact that I'm a 23 year old divorced woman with a child? Given the circumstances, I know that I had some faults in my marriage, but I know that I wasn't the one who gave up. Yes, when I was given the chance to out, I took it. But only because I knew there was no point in trying to stay any longer. Goddamn this Hmong Culture. If it wasn't all about shaming the daughters/females life would be so much easier. I wish we were more open minded so we could see what the actual problem is.
