|| APPLICATIONS OPEN [August 1st – August 31st] ||
The date has finally arrived! We are pleased to announce that the contributor applications are now officially open.
♥ Who are we looking for?
Artists [fanart, doujinshi/comics, merch]
Writers
Translators
Contributors do not need any previous experience with zines, but you do have to be reliable.
♥ What can we offer?
All the participants will receive equal financial compensation from the total earnings. You will be able to choose from two options:
Complimentary copy of the zine + remaining profits [over the expenses of printing and shipping]
Profits only
Note: Profits can be sent via paypal only, so if you don’t have one, you would have to be willing to make it if you want to receive your financial compensation. However, if you aren’t willing to make a paypal, you can still participate, but in that case, you will receive only the complimentary copy of the zine.
♥ Preparing your portfolio
Please prepare a Google Drive folder with at least three examples of the content that you create. Make sure that the examples you provide are ones that best represent you as a content creator.
For writers:
Two out of three stories you submit must be about ShikaTema.
All examples of your work should be from the Naruto universe.
Word count for each individual piece should be from 1.5k to 3k, don’t worry if it goes a little over 3k, though.
We prefer the stories to be well balanced between the narrative and the dialogue.
The stories you submit don’t have to be previously published anywhere.
For artists & merch artists:
Your portfolio doesn’t have to feature any ShikaTema fanart, just make sure that it’s your very best work.
Two out of three pieces should have a background (which doesn’t have to be detailed, we just want to get a sense of your skill, so don’t worry too much – sometimes less is more).
If you are applying to be a doujinshi/comic or merch artist, your examples don’t have to have a background.
Comic artists will be chosen primarily based on storytelling and panel usage; backgrounds are only a small plus.
If you are applying to be a doujinshi/comic artist, please provide examples of such work.
If you are applying to be a merch artist, make sure to provide examples of the merch you’ve designed before, if any.
For translators:
Make sure to provide both your translation and a reference for the original work you’ve translated.
The examples you provide should be related to Narutoverse
If you need any further assistance with your applications, don’t hesitate to ask! We strongly encourage you to go off anon, so we can best assist you.
