My brand research for Frugi
Week 9: Sketchbook
On our last workshop we created our portfolio sketchbooks. We had to choose our favourite drawings and copy them then make a book of it. I sew my drawings together with a pink front and back cover page.Â
I really like this 9 weeks of drawing classes it was work but fun in the same way.
Week 8: Fashion templates
On our last drawing session we started to develop our own fashion templates. First we got templates to see how it looks like and to have something to start of. After I practised  with different mediums and collages I started to create my own templates. In the and I added my style as well to my templates as you can see.
Week 7: Drawing from editorial
This week we chose pictures from magazines and we drew them in different ways. Some of them are one line drawings, for other ones we observed and drew the textures, I have done some 1 minute and 30 seconds drawings as well. I used different mediums and made collages too.
Week 7: InDesign / publication design
I finally took my publication to Uniprint. I was able to choose from several papers types for the cover and the simple pages as well. I used tracing paper for quotes and headlines. I was so excited to get it the next day. I was really satisfied with Uniprint’s work and how it came out.
Week 6: Live model drawing
I loved this workshop because I like drawing live models a lot. First we did really fast sketches and continuous line drawings of the model as she was changing positions. Most of them were 30 or 60 seconds but later we had more time to draw her. Sometimes we had to just concentrate on the garments or on the textures. We also made collages.
30 seconds drawings
When we had a little bit of more time...
Collages
Concentrating on texture
In the last 2 hours we drew models from pictures the way we wanted to.
Week 6: InDesign / publication design
I have finished my journalistic piece and we printed it out to see how it would look like.Â
When we printed it out something went wrong because the last two pages didn't look like how I imagined. It turned out that it has to be divided by 4 to work well which is actually pretty obvious but I wasn't  thinking about it before.
To fix this I had to put in two more pages, so I separated a picture and the text under it to two different pages and attached my bibliography on an other paper. After we reprinted it everything looked like as I imagined it.Â
