To everyone saying they didn't like the last chapter, do you know why suddenly adachitoka announced the ending when none of it felt complete at the time?
I mean i definitely dont know for sure, but its important to realize its likely the manga sales, they dropped off at some point so adachitoka had to wrap it up and not only that they have a many health issues cause hiatus over the years.
I know a majority of the fandom on tumblr reads fastmoons scans, i know i do and i know the economy is shit and lots of us cant even buy the volumes in support even so im not blaming anyone.
But you gotta cut the authors some slack here, they probably had so much left to tell and write and they probably wanted to explain the plotholes and fill in more info.
But because it was the end..they wanted to end it in a happy way and i believe thats just fine, i just finished reading it and im content with how it ended considering the circumstances.
Its okay to not like the ending i guess, but dont let the reason why be because of something the authors couldnt control.
Noragami Final Chapter
*wipes hands* Welp, there you have it. It's done. Chapter is translated and in the wild. Thanks to everyone who's kept up with the series until the end!
Couple translation notes at the bottom.

Translation notes:
Me sittin’ here, seriously concerned for all the young kids who are gonna’ grow up in this fandom environment thinking they’re secretly evil monsters because their sex fantasies aren’t strictly pure or vanilla or because they ship something with an unhealthy dynamic. Soooooo many people must hate/be terrified of themselves.
Hey…….hey kids…….
You’re fuckin’ fine.
The human brain is weird. Sex fantasies ≠ actual desires. If you ask yourself, “would I want to act out this thing in real life” and the answer is “fuck no,” then you’re fine. Shipping is also not an indicator of what you would condone in real life. You are not secretly a monster. You are a human being. Human beings are complicated. Please calm down and treat yourself to a smoothie or something.
“What you want to read about” is not the same as “what you want to happen in your real life.”
The murder mystery industry has no problem understanding this.
The entire “horror” genre is built on this. Ditto “thrillers”, and indeed most other genres. In fact, possibly the only genre which isn’t inherently built on this assumption is “romance”, and even there… well, there’s a lot of romance stories which are basically about “I want to experience catharsis” rather than “I want this to happen to me” (consider Wuthering Heights, for example - Heathcliff and Catherine are great to read about, but they would each be hell to live with).
This also means if you’re asexual but you still like reading stories where people fuck? You’re still asexual. If you’re aromantic and enjoy reading romances, you’re still aromantic. If you’re non-heterosexual and enjoy reading heterosexual porn (because hey, there’s more of it and it’s easier to find than anything else, right?) then you’re still not heterosexual.
The only thing your taste in reading says anything about is your taste in reading.
Good night to everyone except that one person who pointed out to me that the way Yukine was hugging Yato in todays update is very similar to the way Yato was hugging him back on chapter 104.2
Like why would you do this to me....?
Breaking the "Yaboku" curse
Yo I'm still clinging on to the Tsukiyomi theory this late in the game so hear me out
1. According to the mythos, Tsukiyomi was banished from heaven and his sister Amateresu for murdering someone over a petty disagreement.
2. Yato is often associated with moon imagery, culling/ cutting, water, and other adjacent images like snow and the color white. Even the Sakura is symbolic of the dual-sided nature of beauty and violence. He follows his loved ones around (like how Tsukiyomi followed Amateresu around in the mythos) and embraces different phases of his life in the form of embracing certain (albeit strange) fashion trends. Even the name Yaboku means "Night Child."
3. Yato is an unknown god but has lived longer than most other dieties we see in the series. Knowing now that the Crafter was undead all this time, it's growing less and less likely that he was Yato's true lifeline that entire time, as well as more likely that dieties younger than him wouldn't recognize him, because they are younger than him or have reincarnated since then. Besides, we know that the "banishment" of Tsukiyomi likely means Yato got killed (like Ebisu).
4. We see the Crafter stole the Koto No Ha when he left the underworld, and the Koto No Ha gave new names that couldn't be undone by heaven, but abided by the underworld's rules, meaning that the Crafter could have used it to "name" Yaboku, causing that name to get him out of the underworld even if his true identity was Tsukiyomi all along.
5. Since the Koto no Ha is broken, it could also mean that the name "Yaboku" is gone.
6. But we aren't done yet! Perhaps to reclaim his position as Tsukiyomi, he is now being tested. Throughout the story Yato has matured through his friendships and love. He went from selfish and preserving his own life to being willing to risk his life. But the one thing he never did was: Cut ties with Hiyori.
7. Perhaps, if Yato cuts ties with Hiyori, it could save her life and return her to the near shore. But he would have to make a sacrifice out of love, not selfish desire to be seen as a god of fortune, or take vengeance on his maker.
8. I therefore think that this will be resolved as Amateresu returns, as Yato cuts ties to save Hiyori, that something will happen to restore him to what he used to be. After all, isn't it strange that Amateresu showed up outside the underworld, telling them to call Yato by "his true name" with a soft smile on her face, while later on when we see her she is absolutely unhinged and angry? She is involved in this deeper than i think they realize.
So yeah, I'm holding out. Yato must cut ties with the person he cherishes the most as a true act of selflessness to redeem himself from the crime he committed as Tsukiyomi.
Leaving this theory aside, the idea of Yato cutting ties with Hiyori in order to save her makes sense, I'll put all my hope in this one :(
(ignores the rest of the chapter)

the FREAKING!!!! PARALLELS here!!! CANNOT BE UNDERSTATED…!!
yukine coming to rescue yato so that yato doesn’t have the same fate he did…!!!!! iM FINE!!!!!!!!
We have seen Yukine's journey toward acceptance of the life that was robbed of him many times in the manga. However, this time you can tell it is pretty different as it seems final. The heaviness of having to accept an early and unjustified death has been portrayed beautifully in the entirety of his character arc.
Yukine finally accepting the reality of his death. Yukine stepping out from the fridge that contained memories of what was once his life. Yukine freeing himself from the shackles of his trauma. Yukine running to protect the person he cherished the most in the world. Yukine standing up to an abusive father. Yukine wholeheartedly apologizing. Yukine's acceptance and growth and Yato tearing up as he stretches his little arms to pull him for a sincere hug.
Yukine's gratitude for what Yato did for him is evident throughout the series. He was given a name more precious than any other. He was treated like a human--an ordinary teenage boy. And life after that was one exciting journey after another. Now, Yukine can no longer be entirely consumed by the horrors of his past because he knows that his reality with Yato is so much brighter. Far brighter.
Yukine could break out from that refrigerator because of the true, sincere, and nurturing love shown by the only father figure in his life. Yato has said multiple times throughout the series that Yukine was his priority above all else, and Yukine was the only person he swore to protect the most. Hell, he even went straight for the hug after Yukine apologized for turning into that form! Yato did not need to summon Yukine. Yukine came to protect Yato on his own decision. As he always did.
The journey to their healing will be painful, and this chapter shows that Yato and Yukine will face it together. No more secrets and no more miscommunication. They will help and be by each other's side as they always have, not only as god and shinki but, this time, as family.
"I will not let him die. Not Yato. No matter what happens... I swear I won't let anyone take him from me!" -Yukine, Noragami Vol. 17 Chapter 67.

Perfectionism is not your friend. It’s rooted in the fear that what you do won’t be good enough. It’s over-valuing others’ opinion of you and your work.
Perfectionism leaves you paralyzed, waiting for the perfect conditions so you know it’s safe to act. Unfortunately, if you’re waiting for the perfect conditions, you may wait for the rest of your life.
If you can learn to fall in love with the process, rather than the product, you’ll be free to chase your passions unrestrained. Don’t let perfectionism keep you from moving. After all, you can’t steer a parked car.

I like personality quizzes in theory but in practice I just get irritated by the semantic ambiguity of literally every question. "On a spectrum from scientific to artistic what are you" motherfucker I literally wax poetic about the laws of thermodynamics where the fuck does that land on your spectrum
"are you more strict or lenient" ABOUT WHAT???
"are you more juvenile or mature" BY WHAT STANDARD???
"are you more red or blue" I'M GONNA FUCK

Can we talk about the fact that every time Hiyori encounters Father:
Its on
MOTHER FUCKING
SIGHT!!
Literally after this:
This happened:
And yet hiyori’s on sight reaction to seeing Father the next 2 times she saw him was still:
Like she is not afraid of him AT ALL! No matter what he says or does to her.
It’s. ON. SIGHT!!
me, incorrect: everyone is probably sick of me drawing this character by now...
my inner voice, wise: ah, but this cannot be... because I am part of "everyone"... and until I am sick of drawing them... it will not be everyone
me, opening a new blank canvas: ur so right
Reblog if you never once have been even remotely bothered by seeing someone draw the same character over and over again
