Ok but this also make sense from Dean’s body language: ‘Why does this sound like a goodbye?’ He tilts his head slightly to the left. Then he keeps it straight for the next few lines, and only tilts it to the right after Cas says ‘I love you’!!!

I had to go and watch the original again and look at this. I learned how to make gifs just now so I can post this. 

This is right after ‘Because it is’. Look at Dean’s blurry head on the right. Look at the movement. He’s shaking his head sideways.

Now look Dean’s head moments when he says ‘Don’t do this, Cas’

It’s the exact same shot from a different angle!!!! So Dean saying ‘Don’t do this, Cas’ comes after ‘Because it is’.

i can't stop thinking about that guy who ran the boys home dean went to. like this kid shows up on your doorstep covered in bruises who was abandoned by his dad for shoplifting dinner (out of necessity) and won't talk about it outside of making witty sarcastic jokes. this kid is finally warming up to the idea of having a home and maybe being loved (liked?) but then the aforementioned dad shows up without a word and there's like a nine year old in the backseat and you can see this kid's entire personality change as he soldiers back into the car and then you never see him again. i would've gone insane i would've been on my deathbed wondering if that kid survived his teens
