i find it so upsetting how l*caya fans are saying maya stepped back again so her friend would be happy, do they want maya to be miserable? they all say they want the best for her but when she shows she's okay with it they all be like "no! she cant be happy if she's not with lucas, she is not showing her true feelings, everyone is just trying to manipulate her into thinking she's okay"
I don’t get how people think Maya stepped back again when she never stepped back in the first place.
Hello, she’s not sacrificing her feelings, she likes Josh and that’s who she’s always liked the minute she saw him in the Christmas episode.
Riley is the only character on GMW who has stepped back twice, Maya has stepped back zero times.
Maya has never even really been sure of her feelings for Lucas in the first place, Riley was the one who was deciding everything for her, the minute Riley saw that she cared for Lucas (which could’ve been seen completely in a platonic way, but for some reason it was pushed in the other direction) she forced LM together.
Maya was literally the happiest that she’s been since season 2 with Josh, and if L*caya shippers can’t see that, then I can’t help them.
Lucas can’t even accept Maya for who she truly is and people still ship that?
Maya was the one who asked for Josh’s opinion, he wasn’t even forcing anything onto to her and she realizes the truth BY HERSELF, and I take Josh’s word because this story line has been building up since Girl Meets Hurricane in season 2, yet L*caya shippers claim that they know everything.
If L*caya shippers want the best for Maya, then they would want her with Josh. Never has Maya smiled in the same way at Lucas when he just enters a room. The only time Maya has smiled at Lucas similar to that was when she poured a smoothie on his head and that’s only because she thought it was funny to mess him up. (which is the first warning sign)
All of the warning signs were there; the show proved that L*caya would never work as a couple, in multiple episodes. How the only thing Maya could come up with for liking Lucas is that he’s a “nice guy” even though she can rattle off an entire list for Josh. How Lucas doesn’t like it when they argue and Maya thinks that arguing is the best part of their relationship. Those were just a few of the many warning signs and L*caya shippers just refused to acknowledge.
And now that this awful triangle is finally over, they refuse to acknowledge that friendship is the most important and that Maya and Lucas will never be together after this.
