Update on horse head prop: The polystyrene sculpt had been finished and artex had been applied and sanded. Button polish was brushed over the piece to strengthen and also create the woody colour I wanted to show through beneath the paint.

Individual doll heads; These are the first three I painted, to experiment with different textures and ways of approaching making the same object look different multiple times.
Gravestone prop. Carved from polystyrene, then textured and painted. Really happy with the outcome!
Six photo process of a dying and distressing workshop at uni. Water damaged and bled on.
Pre-priming and post-painting doll heads for the set dress.
Polyurethane resin cast of a doll head, used for the Bluebeards Castle set dress.
Using the same process used for the the resin biscuit food prop, I cast a walnut to practice further painting techniques. The texture of the cast was an advantage in creating a realistic finish, and similar painting techniques used on the biscuit where used here. More washes were needed however, to produce a natural looking colour. The last image is my finished prop against a real walnut. Guess which one the fake is!
Six photo process of a fibreglass World War One helmet created as part of a university project. Made to be used as background prop/costume for film or theatre. Not a hero prop!
Image 1) Applying sections of fibreglass after the first gel coat.
Image 2) The dried fibreglass. Cutting off excess from around the vacuum formed template.
Image 3) Finished fibreglass helmet.
Image 4) Painted base coat.
Image 5) Use of a simple printed paper stencil.
Image 6) Finished paint job.
Silicone and resin casting. Mini prop/ food prop.
The process we used for this was fairly straight forward, and produced very realistic looking replicas! Painting he resin cast to look realistic was the most challenging part, but through use of washes, layers and dry brushing I achieve a finish I was happy with.
Gallery Exhibition work; Foundation Degree year.
Lighting project; calico, chair and light.
Experimental cloak, made as part of the fashion rotation of my college work, a few years ago. This was before I was sewing properly, but was supposed to symbolise journey and the hardships along the way. It would be interesting to redo the theme of this project with the costume skills I have now and see what I could make?
Navigator Gloria: Urgh the graininess. Horrific quality strikes again. This is second faun I designed to go with my captain! They’re very cute.
I’m thinking creatures from a different province that begin getting a crew together atm
Captain Rose; One of the two faun’s I’ve designed. I could only take photos on my phone, hence the awful image quality ¬¬ This is the first time I’ve drawn from imagination in a really long time, so I’m actually really pleased! Might put her in a comic at some point, would be pretty nice to make some cool backstory for her one day??
London Chinatown, 4/8/2015
One of my favourite shots from our trip to London.
Bathroom selfies of Hori (gsnk) cosplay. Which camera took the photo though? Will take some real nice ones one day.
This was me at Manchester MCM August 2015!
I was recently introduced to Black Butler on the train back from Wales so decided to draw from my favourite quote so far. For captainsuperstorm because your love for kuroshitsuji surpasses your love for all else.
