hello! uhm. could i get a scenario about a theoretical AU where yuri didn't like. die. and she gets to hang out with the sinners in the bus.
at this point she's like, been here for a pretty long while. she generally sees herself as a friend to most of the other sinners (even if in some cases the friendship might not be fully mutual.) but she's definitely the closest to gregor, sitting next to him in the bus and staying most of the time near him. i'd say if anything she's probably a little emotionally dependent on him... ok so uhm. at some point yuri is talking with gregor and she tells him that she genuinely sees him as family at this point. like. a older brother figure she never had almost. idk if she'd accidentaly call him brother and then explain or if she'd just confess to viewing him like that outright but uhm. yah thatd make me happy i think. <- self indulgent
"Hey bro-- Gregor! Gregor!" She corrects herself twice and bows many times in apologies. Gregor snorts and waves his cigarette in the air.
"What's up? Did something happen?" Gregor asks, "Been a while."
She's LCB now, after getting incorporated into the company. The horrors of that dim L Corp wing, filled with death was far behind both of them. As much as they both struggle with their workload now, anything is much better than that past in which she thought she died.
"I'm just checking in on you," She said, "I have a minute or two to spare, I think."
"Ah, okay." Gregor throws his cig to the ground, steps on it, and after taking a step closer, places his hand on her head, "Did you grow?"
He grins, but she puffs her cheeks.
"This again? Don't you have anything better to say?"
"Just pulling your leg," He snickers, "What? Can't we unwind a little?"
Then it is her turn to laugh at him, who clicks his tongue.
"Lesson learned," Gregor says, but she knows he will do it again next time, "How's things on your side?"
"It's been..." Yuri begins, but then her mouth closes.
"Confidential. Got it. You good, though?"
"I assume it's been... the same on your side?"
Gregor sighs, rubbing the back of his head.
"It's so-so. I guess we're just really lucky."
After that, some of the other sinners spot her there. A few question whether she's on a mission or not, and quickly they all catch up with what they've been up to. It's not very often they can see people from past missions, let alone see them alive. Out of all the regrets they've collected as a group, Yuri's death is not one of them. For that, all of the sinners are glad. Some more than others.
