Finally gonna see Brakes next week. There’s a Q&A with Noel, Julian, Steve Oram, and Mercedes Grower. What questions should I ask?
Mindhorn is fantastic. Hilarious. I already want to watch it again. Julian and Simon are a great team, we had lots of questions for them and they talked for at least 45 minutes! I could listen to Julian talk for ages, that velvety voice of his. He told us about a couple of scenes that never made it into the film, they talked about their inspirations and writing styles, and why it took them 10 years to get this film made.
Allegedly it will be on Netflix - a question I’d hoped to ask them directly, but alas, didn’t have the chance. I hope it happens because I want you lot to see it, and I want to watch it at least 5 more times!!
When MI5 Special Operative Bruce Mindhorn was captured in the late 1980s, his eye was replaced with a super-advanced optical lie detector, which meant he could literally “see the truth.”
“We will be joined by Mindhorn writers and actors Julian Barratt and Simon Farnaby for a Q&A following the 20:25 preview screening on Tue 25 Apr.”
Guys, what should I ask him?
Channel 4 has revealed its new-look line-up with Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood as judges when the format relaunches later this year
Wait … what?
*Checks the date* It’s not the 1st of April.
srsly i find this disturbing.
full disclosure: i’ve never watched GBBO. I love to bake, but a show about competitive baking never interested me. i don’t watch reality tv.
Noel has probably been cooped up and bored, NMTB is gone, and he can only go on QI so many times. But somehow this is like he’s given up. It seems so out of character. I feel like Peter Pan died. Maybe i’m overreacting; I just feel sad for him.
I’ve been living in the UK for 6 months and FINALLY found these today

SOME OF THOSE OUTFITS ON NOEL HALP HALP
This might actually make me less homesick for the holidays....
Everybody has experienced the defeat of their lives. Nobody has a life that worked out the way they wanted it to work out. We all begin as the hero of our own dramas, in centre stage, and inevitably life moves us out of centre stage, defeats the hero, overturns the plot and the strategy and we’re left on the sidelines, wondering why we no longer have a part, or want a part, in the whole damn thing. So everybody’s experienced this. When it’s presented to us sweetly, the feeling goes from heart to heart and we feel less isolated and we feel part of the great human chain, which is really involved with the recognition of defeat.
