“Masaki—” The voice is irritated, and it makes every other rogue in the room freeze up. It wasn’t often Jacke had the tone of voice he showed, but when he had to catch a dagger headed straight at his chest, it tended to make him a bit irritated at best.
“I don’t take kindly t’ bein’ a target board.” He stabs the others knife into the table infront of him, staring directly at the Au Ra while doing so. “Did ye just lose yer grip or are ye testin’ me patience.”
He’d meant to throw that dagger into the target in front of him but his fingers slipped before he realized it and just as Masaki was turning around, he’s hit with the guildmaster’s infamous Irritated Voice. The au ra immediately bows his head and rubs the back of his head sheepishly. And to think he’d been getting somewhat better…
He flinches at the sudden thwack of the knife stabbing into wood and looks up to meet Jacke’s stern eyes. Masaki huffs out his chest—a defensive reaction more than anything else—and shakes his head. He looks down at his fingers, his other hand still gripping onto his knife, and scowls. He needs to do better.
With an annoyed flick of his tail, he pulls out the dagger from the table and hands it to Jacke. Then Masaki points at his own chest. It’s an apology of a sort—Jacke can repay the favor to Masaki by throwing a dagger at his chest too.
He wasn’t used to working with someone who didn’t talk much. Sure, rogue’s knew how to keep their mouths shut, but that was different. Still, he got the message Masaki was sending. “I ain’t gonna throw it at ye.” He said, still taking the dagger regardless. He instead walks over to stand next to the au ra, grabbing his hand and putting the dagger into it.
“Ye aren’t bein’ careful with yer hand placement. If yer gonna throw yer stabber like that yer hand should be like this --” He said, moving Masaki’s fingers to match his instructions. “And ye only let go when it’s about here.” He moved the other’s arm next. “Now if yer throwin’ it for an attack, it should be from further down - but that’s ‘nother lesson entirely.”
