Wedge Issues For Democrats In 2024 To Stop Trump

Democrats need to get into the wedge issue game.

Not to spoil the article, but it’s a bit wordy considering the complaint with Democrats is that they don’t have punchy talking points. But the one they come up with is: “My Republican opponent wants to end democracy, kill pregnant women, marry off little girls, burn books, emulate Putin, allow daily mass shootings, and ban the word ‘gay’ while inviting the government into your private love life.”

Why shove it all in one tremendously long line that has no punch? Break it up, make more than one long winded weird sounding (emu-what?) unbridled word blast. A shotgun of jagged phrases. It doesn’t flow. Shorter please, more pop! My feeble attempts:

Republi-can’ts are demoCRAZY, tryin to destroy democracy!

(Once this full statement is used enough it can be shortened to simply ‘demo crazy republicants’ )

Give me ABORTION

or GIVE ME DEATH

dead baby IN MY GUTS

is making me sick!

(makes for a good chant as well)

NOW I’m no marketing expert (I’m just some ape on a rock slinging through the universe like you) but, you know, “it’s edible” is all it took for Crisco. So that’s the kinda ‘dumbed down for the lowest common denominator’ stuff I would offer, if they asked me.
