[ID: A Scum Villain redraw of a pulp lesbian novel cover. Sha Hualing is lying down while wearing a very revealing outfit of red scarves, and she's twisting up with a grin to touch Liu Mingyan. Liu Mingyan is veiled and smiling; both are blushing. A block letter title says, "I Prefer Girls" End ID]
Description by @nebulations (is this right??)
Quick Mingling drawing! I’ve always wanted to do some variation of this meme but didn’t know who to do it with. Then I remembered that these two exist.
It looks really dark wth
“Binghe”
“Lan zhan!!”
“San Lang…”
I drew them all…the shojo protagonists in different fonts…my beloveds
(Keeping up with the ancestors I’m still watching cql)
Made an arcane fan animation hehe
Pulling faces with Pomni <3
yoshiki's scars being visible to selected people as an analogy for him becoming more visibly queer to those who are close to him and know bout hikaru<3
why scars? bc he sees his homosexuality as an ugly 'monstrous' thing</3

Link Click x Alien stage
To me, this is the thesis of Alien Stage. For each duo and in more ways than one.
For Ivantill, Till might never have loved Ivan romantically, though we do have indications he may have. Either way, he didn’t love Ivan the same way Ivan loved Till. He didn’t obsess over Ivan the way Ivan did Till. He didn’t want to accept Ivan’s sacrifice the way Mizi accepted Sua’s sacrifice, but Ivan forced it on him. Till’s love was different from Ivan’s, but does that really matter? It was love, too.
Interestingly enough, Luka has both Hyuna and Hyunwoo’s hearts. Despite everything, Luka lived. Hyunwoo initiated the fight between them, and Luka reacted violently, which led to Hyunwoo’s death. Luka was shot at, and Hyuna took the bullet, killing her. Luka has lived in spite of everything because of their deaths. Hyuna loved Luka, but her sacrifice was one made partially out of revenge. Luka may have loved Hyunwoo when they were friends as kids, but he still killed him. He may have loved Hyuna, but he still hurt her. But it was love. Nonetheless, it was love.
And, of course, Mizisua. Mizi didn’t love Sua in a way that propelled her to sacrifice herself for Sua. Sua’s love was the kind that made it impossible for Sua to live without Mizi. If you recall their mental strengths, Sua’s is extremely low while Mizi’s is strong. Mizi knew Sua couldn’t handle if Mizi died. Mizi underestimated just how much Sua’s death would ruin her, but she was willing to bear it so Sua didn’t have to bear losing her. She might not have been willing to die for Sua, but she gave Sua a gift, too. She let Sua give Mizi her sacrifice. And that’s love. That was love.
Even Mizi’s monologue about Hyuna is riddled with the weight of this theme.
Mizi is bitter because Hyuna fought for so long for humanity—a wider concept than Mizi can perhaps even comprehend, having lived isolated and then in ANAKT her whole life. She fought for something that seemed to mean so much, and then she threw it all away for Luka, a man who Mizi seems to loathe and whom she thought Hyuna loathed too.
Mizi is angry because Hyuna’s love, Hyuna’s sense of justice, required sacrifice. For humans, and for Luka. Mizi’s lingering bitterness over Sua’s decision transfers to Hyuna, because why? Why does your love demand you to die for it for nothing?
But it wasn’t for nothing.
Because even though Sua sacrificed herself for Mizi, and Hyuna risked her life to save her and then died for Luka only ended in Mizi’s death by her own hand—Luka either dying and being replaced or continuing to be imprisoned by the aliens for entertainment—
Even if Hyuna’s love for humanity and belief in their freedom only led to children in museum displays rather than stages—
It mattered.
Mizi still destroyed the competition that ruined her and Sua. She still cemented Ivan’s sacrifice by saving Till.
Hyuna still got her justice. She stopped running. Even if Luka remains trapped, his life still means something.
They all loved each other and the world differently, but it was love too. And it’s never for nothing.
You want to tell me that this guy had seen a kid with Ivan’s eyes and Mizi’s hair (and probably Till’s face because I am delusional) and after the initial shock, rolled his eyes in the most exasperated but fond way and then he offered the happiest and sweetest grin ever???
I am unwell but happy.
I am so glad we believed he’s alive.
Staged Alien walked so Alien Stage could run😒‼️
the way in the end sketch, the only detail drawn on the face was Ivan's eyes.
as if that's the only thing about him that Till remembers clearly enough to draw from memory.
that's the only feature on his face that left an impact Till could never forget.
and lo behold:
Ivan's eyes, on the face of the child he took under his wing, who has the hair he will never forget.
Can't make too many things rn, my brain is still processing the trauma I experienced just now. But—
I was wondering what this scene meant. What is the context? Art. Personally I think Till seems genuinely surprised. Because he finds himself a bit taken aback at the thought that Ivan harboured a feeling of disapproval about him, ever since Anakt Garden.
When he proceeded to ask this question, the child Ivan was suddenly replaced with the grown up one. Till's expression looked like it went from curiosity and got replaced with caution when he saw the change. Like he wanted the answer from the child version, maybe bc kids tend to be more honest if you ask them enough (?)
Or because from what we have seen previously, the grown version does more harm to him than anyone. As if that version of Ivan is who he thinks is what Ivan felt truly at heart, if he was stripped off his masks.
Or maybe, grown up Ivan is the manifestation of his self-hatred, survivor's guilt and what not that he felt towards himself.
Or maybe, as @one-selective-bitch stated: "It's that that's, idk how to say it, a bearable "form". In the comics it referred as a calmed down version of Ivan after Till SH. So it's not that child Ivan isn't that but it's that the more we see him grown up, the more sense of guilt/self hatred Till is feeling. We even see how at the peak of it Ivan is shown at his dying moment, with blood on his lips and drenched from the rain"
Regardless, Till then proceeded to go "let's not talk" Which I think it was a way of blocking out any negative affirmations he could've received from him, probably bc he can't find it in himself to see that Ivan was upset with him about things that he's realised too late, let alone apologize for it, cause he's no longer alive.
I'M SO SICK WTFFFF
the sheer fucking power move it is to sit on your own grave with the cockiest, most relaxed stance...
he isn't just sitting on it he's even stepping on it at the same time 😭 vein cmon man
MORE mother Till 👹👹👹
It was unhealthy,
It was controlling,
It was immature,
It was doomed from the start.
But goddammit, the love was there!
And more than anything, it was cherished.
