ruth wilson talks a bit about his dark materials she doesn’t really say anything new, unsurprisingly she does claim bad wolf built wolf studios especially for hdm which is nice
YASSS MORE MRS. COULTER SCENES. THIS IS ALL I’VE EVER WANTED. I WISH I COULD GO BACK AND TELL MY 12 YEAR OLD SELF THIS DAY WOULD COME.
(Though I sincerely hope they don’t give her a tragic backstory. Just let her be an evil sociopath)
Was anyone else a sobbing mess at the end of Mamma Mia 2?? No joke, I hit Coco levels of emotional turmoil.
one aspect of the shape of water that’s so striking to me is the theme of having your voice silenced; literally with elisa, as she’s mute and communicates with asl, and figuratively with zelda and giles, who are a black woman and gay man living in the early 60s. and it’s all reflected in the creature, this beautiful, magical being who is tortured, when it comes down to it, for not having a voice, for not being able to speak his thoughts, and is therefore perceived as unintelligent, as less than human. the three protagonists see themselves in him and empathize and it’s just so thematically on point.
Anyone else a blubbering, crying mess after seeing Coco?? It was beautiful but man that really hit me in the feels. Go see it.
Reblog if you had Sansa's back all these years and you feel vindicated after the final episode of season 7
Y'all need to be recognized as the Sansa Defense Squad.
That acting in that scene between Tyrion and Cersei tho… hats off to Lena Headey and Peter Dinklage who had the most touching and compelling scene that was worth watching in the shit show that was season 7.
Fire and fire
Cersei vs Sansa is the showdown we all deserve
I love @jonsalways analysis of how the show is foreshadowing Sansa becoming Queen in the North. It has been illustrated over and over that the northern lords will never accept a foreigner as their leader, and certainly once Jon’s heritage comes to light they’ll reject him as well. That really only leaves one person–one capable, strong, and compassionate person–to step up and accept the role: Sansa Stark.
The audience has been lead to believe that the ultimate showdown for the throne will occur between Dany and Cersei. But narratively speaking, it would be a completely natural development, yet unanticipated by the audience, to have the showdown occur between Cersei and Sansa.
The Dany vs. Cersei storyline is anticlimactic at best. They have little history together and there is a clear good vs evil dynamic. That just doesn’t make for good, interesting television.
However, Sansa has known Cersei ever since she was a child. In many ways, Cersei helped raise her. Though Sansa fears and hates her, she has also professed to idolizing her and its easy to see why. As a girl, Sansa dreamed of being like her–being a beautiful queen, having a life of luxury and power. She eventually realized her disillusionment, but continued to admire Cersei for her intellect, her prowess–even as the queen tortured her.
In this last season, we are now being shown all the reasons Cersei is a terrible leader, while simultaneously we’re discovering the competent ruler Sansa has become.
What an incredible story, what an amazing conclusion it would be for this series-long dynamic between two beloved characters. I’d give my right hand to watch Sansa finally grow into her own–to outmaneuver the woman who taught her, manipulated her, terrorized her, killed so many of her family and is now trying to kill Jon. This is the justice the audience deserves! Its the only way I’ll ever accept Cersei’s inevitable death/imprisonment.
I don’t care who sits on the throne in the end, be it Dany or Jon or Sansa or someone else. I just need this one battle to happen. A battle between Queen Cersei and Queen Sansa, now standing across from each other as equals in this so-called game of thrones. I want to see the look in Cersei’s eyes when she realizes Sansa has beaten her at her own game. I want one of Lena Headey’s famous monologues confessing how she actually envies Sansa. How she bitterly, resentfully wishes for Sansa to sit in her place as queen and learn from all the mistakes of her predecessor.
ADVICE FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT HAVING A GOOD DAY:
wait until it gets dark and make tea or coffee or hot chocolate, or if it’s too hot outside make yourself a healthy smoothie with your favorite things in it at any point during the day
put on your favorite underwear, it helps, trust me, it’s an old family secret (i’m not kidding)
if you have a pet, play the “how many things can i stick on you until you move or get mad” game (bonus points if they fall asleep, extra bonus points if a family member sees you and tells you to quit it, extra double ultra points if they join in)
rip a peice of paper into as many little pieces as you can
go to animeseason.com and click “random anime” until you see one that looks completely ridiculous (or actually good) and watch the first episode. repeat if it sucked or if you get bored halfway through
spend at least an hour making a music playlist for how you feel right now and save it for now or when you feel a bad mood rise again
curl up in bed and cover yourself with blankets and pillows and put in music and just lay there for a while (sleeping is also good)
eat everything
drink lots of water
it’s okay bad moods don’t last forever!!!!!! i promise!!! you will be yourself soon and there are people who love you very much, don’t be afraid to reach out to them
you are lovely
eat lots of bananas
here are some more friends
i bet there is still a box of crayons in your house somewhere (if not you can get them cheap during back-to-school sales); find them and use them (maybe while watching ridiculous anime)
sunshine if you can manage it or just a sun lamp trust me it matters more than you think especially in winter
hugs even if they are stuffed animals or your pet or your pillow whatever is on hand
if you’ve got a favorite lotion/soap/thing that is scented use it liberally
cry if you need, if it doesn’t start by itself or if you don’t want to attract attention put on a sad movie so you have an excuse
write this down to pull out on future bad days:
it is okay to have a day where you don’t get things done
it is okay not to have a reason for feeling bad
taking care of yourself is a worthwhile use of time
if you still don’t feel better it is not your fault (and it is okay to ask for help)
So my dad and I started a list of hilarious plot holes this season and please feel free to add on
Gendry’s marathon: absurd distance, no training or exposure to environment, no equipment
Jon and Sansa don’t discuss major initiatives before they speak to northern lords

Blatant defiance of time/space continuum
