I did this in highschool for a history paper and it literally saved my life

1) As a professor, this kinda pisses me off, but as a person, I get it.

2) Save the legit file as a PDF. If it’s a Word doc, file details will tell me the day that you first created the file…so I’ll know what you did.

As a professor, this gets tedious. Someone pulls this stunt on every other assignment (not always the same person, but you know your clowns). It costs time to contact the student and I have to interrupt correcting and have to start again another time. Therefore the system gets changed, and, oh wonder - not for the benefit of the students. 

Now, I request the printed paper at a certain dead line in my letter box additionally to the e-mail.. If it is not there, the student has failed the assignment. 

Classical backlash: Someone thought he was clever, in the end, everyone suffers, because now the time for printing and delivering is taken from writing and additional cost arise for paper and print-outs (even stamps).

Well, perhaps in your country. In my country, education is free. And why should someone that is not able to schedule, organize and fulfill tasks in time get a paper, that tells someone, that gets him/her a job where exactly those skills are needed?
