Having rewatched Pirates of the Carribean several times, I have noticed something interesting. Will Turner is often the only survivor of massive shipwrecks, like the one that killed his mother or the one with the kraken. Other times even when hes alone he survives drowning in ways he really has no right to, like the destruction of the Interceptor. He just often conveniently finds a perfect sized piece of driftwood or something. Remember what Calypso said? About him having a “touch of destiny?” I think that the sea could never kill him, will always cradle him and protect him, because all along he was destined to be the captain of the Flying Dutchman. The sea could no more kill him than a human could cut off their own arm.

WMMAP but Obelia solely took inspiration from Russia and all the names and titles are all Russian bc literally most of Obelia is isnpired by Russia aesthetic-wise and also @alicehattera03's post has made me have some brainrot.

For example, Emperor Claude becomes Tsar Claude, Emperor of Obelia.

And, instead of Crown Princess Athanasia it's something along the lines of Tsarevich Athanasia. Take that with a grain of salt however since i read that Tsarevich is mostly used for male heirs, and as of now i'm not sure about the female variant.

As for noble titles, from what i've been reading it is mostly the same as the rest of europe. So duke, marquis, all that stays the same.

Fun fact: i read a fanfic by Alice a while back where in the end Jennette ended up becoming a Grand Duchess if i'm not mistaken. And in Russia, the title of Grand Duke/Duchess is given to descendants of the house of Romanov. Now while Jenny here is made of black magic and mostly takes from her mother, depending on who you ask she still sorta counts as a relative to the Obelias. So Alice if you're seeing this, spot on reference.

If anyone here in this fandom is Russian or familiar with Russia, feel free to clarify anything i've gotten wrong with this.

Edit: Thank you to Alice for clarifying Athy's title! Instead of 'Tsarevich' a title used for male heirs, the most appropriate title for Athy would actually 'Tsesarevna.' So before she'd be appointed the crown princess, she will be known as Tsesarevna Athanasia of Obelia. After being crowned as the heir it'll be changed to Tsesarevich Athanasia.

And because i'm dumb and forgot to include this, once Athy takes the throne she will be Tsarina, or empress!
