Take a bite of this Irish Car Bomb Trifle, which is rich and boozy. A tasty treat is made up of layers of chocolate cake, Irish whiskey cream, and chocolate pudding. With chocolate shavings and whipped cream on top, it's a rich dessert that's great for special events.
Ingredients: 1 package chocolate cake mix. 1 cup Irish stout beer. 1 cup Irish whiskey. 1/2 cup Irish cream liqueur. 1 package chocolate pudding mix. 2 cups milk. 1 cup heavy cream. 2 tablespoons powdered sugar. Chocolate shavings for garnish.
Instructions: Instead of water, use Irish stout beer to make chocolate cake mix the way the package says to. Cool the cake all the way down after baking it. After the cake has cooled, break it up into small pieces. Mix Irish cream liqueur and whiskey in a bowl with a whisk. Mix the chocolate pudding mix with milk in a different bowl and whisk it until it's smooth. Place the chocolate cake crumbles in a serving glass or trifle dish, then drizzle the whiskey-cream mixture over them. Finally, add a layer of chocolate pudding. Add more layers until the glasses or dish are almost full. Add a last layer of chocolate pudding on top to finish. Whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together in a different bowl until stiff peaks form. Put the whipped cream on top of the trifle with a spoon or a pipe. Add chocolate shavings as a garnish. Put it in the fridge for at least two hours before serving so the flavors can mix. Enjoy! Serve cold.
