well I don’t have all the info here as I’ve only done minimal research but the town of Antelope, Oregon was briefly called Rajneesh, Oregon after having the nearby Rajneesh cult compound take majority on their city council and make changes to their will

the Rajneeshi also developed a salmonella strain on their compound that they gave out to members, who donned plain clothes (they usually wore red robes) and went out to 10 buffet restaurants in the nearby Dalles and sprayed down the salad bars with salmonella, in a test run for when they planned to do the same on Election Day so no non-Rajneeshi citizens would be healthy enough to go to the polls
