Mya had broken into Chads apartment to raid his fridge of leftovers. She had the lockpick she used on the counter of his kitchen.
Mya was using her hand to try and heat the leftovers up.

In the darkness of the room, a light flickered behind Mya, Chad’s own right hand enveloped in flames to light the darkness of his apartment. “And just what the fuck would your mother say if she saw you here?” Chad asked, with a very… very unamused expression, he seemed to not be surprised. In all honesty? Chad wasn’t too surprised when he found his niece fucking breaking into his home- he’s the one who taught her that shit. Probably shouldn’t have. But you know what? Her friend probably would’ve taught her anyways. He saw that kid pick a lock with vines.
Anyhow.. lucky Mya, she decides to break in on one of the nights her uncle is actually here, rather than off doing.. whatever the fuck he’s usually doing. Out with the team or just anywhere else- unless he already has plans with family. Mostly just his sister and his niece, but that is not the fucking point. Shut the fuck up. Any-fucking-ways, the little shit shouldn’t be out here at night, she’s going to scare the shit out of her poor mother. Or get a very lengthy talking to when she gets back. Maybe both at once.
Mya was shoveling food into her mouth. She looked at Chad. “..hi uncle Chad” she said with her mouth full. Could she have just eaten food at her mom’s house? yes. But uncle chads food was wayy better.
She swallowed hard. “I think momma would say something like, ‘you should have told me’” Mya stated before turning back to the leftovers
“Mh, yeah. Sneaking out in the middle of the night would only get a ‘you should’ve told me’, really?” Chad quirked a brow, the fire on his hand going out as he simply turned on the actual lights. “It’s like, a school night or some shit? Any-fucking-ways, I doubt your mother would be happy at you sneaking around at night, period. There’s a bunch of fucking weirdos around.”
“I’m not going to school.” Mya looked away from Chad. Her brows furrowed and glared at the leftovers in her hand. The kids at her school had found old articles about her uncle and were being bigoted little shits. She never wanted to go to school again.
“I thought you were gonna hang out with auntie Alice tonight.” Mya went back to eating the leftovers in her hand. Her back facing her uncle.
Ah. He forgot about that shit. A slight frown formed on Chad’s face as he recalled it, the whole situation was very recent. He didn’t know much about it- just that it had to do with some bullies or some shit, old articles of him… that was a great day, sitting there knowing that he’s the reason she was treated bad. Literally something he dreaded the most. A reluctant sounding huff left his lips as he looked to the side, “Tch.. Yeah, alright. But that’s some shit your mother gets the full say on.” She’ll probably understand why Mya doesn’t want to see those little assholes, but he doesn’t have much say on that.
