Sometimes I try to go play with the kids across the mountain, but they have a different culture than me and seem a bit more shy, so I guess they think I’m strange…

Nope. No school. -Lowers her head a bit, looking remotely solemn.- I’m the only kid in Bluebell, so there’s no need for anything like that. I’ve heard about it, though— And I really want to go~
[raises his eyebrows] You’re the only kid in town?
-Nods.- Yep! The one and only.

Phillip let his smile grow once more, before kneeling down next to the young girl. “That’s it Cherry ♪.” He spoke in a soft tone, in hopes to not frighten the animal. “As long as you stay calm they won’t be so scared of you.”
“Just be sure to show a little confidence when you do it too alright? They can smell fear.” The young man threw her a wink at the teasing remark, before letting a chuckle slip out. “Just kidding, as long as you’re calm you’ll be alright.”
Cheryl looked up at Phillip as he came down to her level, beaming at him. "So I'm doing good? Yay~"
"A little confidence... Got it." Furrowing her eyebrows a bit, she stuck her hand out a little farther and made her arm straighter, looking more assertive; as the chicken pecked from her hand, she grinned from ear to ear. "This is exciting! What other cool stuff can you teach me?"

I’m so excited!! I’m gonna go talk to Mr. Gill tomorrow and tell him that I’m coming to class, too!

I'm so excited! I've never been to school before! My brother taught me almost everything I know, so this is really gonna be a big adventure! ♥

Cheryl’s face lit up in utter excitement, and she almost squealed happily— But she remembered that she didn’t want to startle the chicken and instead sat as still as a statue, blinking rapidly.
She slowly turned to Phillip and grinned, big blue eyes shining. “Ohmigosh!! Phillip!! It’s working!”
Phillip laughed wholeheartedly at the young girl’s reactions, placing a finger to his lips and winking at her. “Told you so.” He responded as the chicken made its way away from the girl. “Just gotta be calm and they won’t mind you so much.” Placing a hand on the chicken below him he gave it a tender ruffle of the feathers, causing it to chirp at him in a bit of annoyance. The chicken walked away from it’s owner and towards the blonde, tilting its head at her for feed.
"Yeah! Just gotta be calm..." Soaking in his words, she took a deep breath as though preparing herself for something incredibly challenging and stiffened as the chicken came towards her.
"... Here you go," she offered meekly, and held her hand out to the chicken again.
Yeah! Really!!
