now that i’ve been developing his character a lot more, i think it’s a great time to officially debut my boy Yoshiro. thank you so much @sandglass-art for bringing my OCs to life in the loveliest of ways.

What are some of Yoshiro's likes and dislikes?

Likes:

Yoshiro has a lot of likes, actually. He has a very positive worldview, which mostly comes from the love he’s been shown by the people in his village.

A few of them are:

Birds, especially when it’s springtime and there are babies

Watching thunderstorms in the distance

Any sweet treats, but he has a love for mochi and and lollipops

Hot baths

Weaponry

Adventurous activities like mountain climbing, cliff diving, and swimming in nearby rivers.

The color green

Dislikes:

With Yoshiro having a positive outlook on life, not a lot really bothers him. He’s kind of ditzy in the way of thinking something is only a minor inconvenience, rather than the kind of person who gets genuinely upset.

A few of his dislikes are:

People who go out of their way to be cruel to others

Being in freezing cold weather

Seeing his mother or Katsumi cry

The sight of dead animals

Citrusy foods

The color orange unless it’s involving a sunset

I LOVE OCS AND I HAVE REQUESTS! First, do you have any pictures of them? If not, describe how she looks, incorporating her personality into the description. Secondly, could you describe Katsumi's personality when she's by herself, around friends, around strangers, and then finally in battle? Also, how would Katsumi act when she's in love? Would she be excited about it, nervous, or would it make her uncomfortable with how vulnerable she would have to be? Who would she love, and why?

1. so i actually have plenty of photos of her on this blog! my best recommendation is to search for the #Katsumi tag. the artists who have drawn her are so talented - i’m truly blessed. you may also find her mood board description helpful for some of the basics of her personality!

2. katsumi is definitely picky about who sees the different pieces of her personality. she’s very different depending on who she is with. when she’s alone, she’s pretty quiet and serious. she prefers a quiet night in, particularly with a large blanket and a book, on the nights she takes for herself. around friends, she can joke a little more. she laughs a lot, but she tends to cover her mouth. she’s not exactly self-conscious, but she doesn’t like to draw too much attention to herself. around strangers, she’s 100% professional. she has a pretty high and important position in Kumo, so she tries to make sure that she’s respected. in battle, she really shines. she is aggressive, loud, and honestly kind of scary. she’s fiercely protective of her teammates and it shows.

3. when she first falls in love with yoshiro - or rather, when she realizes she’s in love - she’s incredibly nervous. there will always be a part of her that questions if she is worthy of love. however, when she falls in love with kankuro, she loves him with her entire being.

4. she loves yoshiro for many reasons. as yoshiro puts it, it was bound to happen. she loves how gentle he is as a person. and how loving he is to her. she loves kankuro for how idiotic and calculating he is. he’s very protective and needy of her, which she adores. ahhh this question is hard because there’s so much.

So I should have mentioned that Yoshiro is actually a boy. There’s a lot to unpack here, so I’ll try to start with the basics!

Yoshiro is three months older than Katsumi. They have been partners since the Kumo academy. His mom owns a store in Kumo (remember the top-grade meats that Killer Bee was bragging about? That’s from Yoshiro’s mom!).

He’s about 5’11, so he towers over Katsumi - it’s actually adorable how different they are. He’s on a pale side, and he has green eyes with dark blond hair, which is down to about his shoulders. He wears it in a ponytail if he’s on a mission, otherwise he prefers a messy bun.

Like his pal Omoi, he’s good with a sword. He also uses lightning-style but prefers hand-to-hand combat and use of weapons.

His relationship with Katsumi is complicated in a way. They grew up together, so they are best friends and squad partners first. However, neither of them can help but have feelings for the other when they discover what “feelings” even means. It’s complicated because they don’t want to put emotion in the middle of their work relationship. However, that doesn’t mean he won’t go out of his way to make her feel special and do cute things like play with her hair or put his head in her lap.

Request from me

Wow. It’s been quite some time since I’ve updated this blog. Or, rather, it’s been quite some time since I’ve written anything.

I appreciate all of my followers who still check on my posts, send me messages, and reblog my writings. I hope I can continue to build new friendships too.

In all honesty, I do have a request. I’ve been depressed and uninspired to do pretty much anything. Now, a few of you have expressed interest in my first-born OC, Katsumi. But did you know I have a second-born OC, her partner Yoshiro?

Naruto isn’t exactly my favorite aeries anymore, but it still shaped my worldview. I’d certainly like the opportunity to find some inspiration again.

So here’s my request: I WANT asks to come into my inbox about Katsumi and Yoshiro. Seriously - ask me anything (scenarios are greatly appreciated)! My hope is that I’ll find my love for writing again and finally get to some of the requests I have for your favorite characters (Kakashi anyone?).

I know this is a bit odd, but I do appreciate anyone expressing interest in my writing still. I hope you all can forgive me for leaving this blog unattended for a little while.

Hhhhhhh a Gaiden Katsumi design!!! 😍 I didn't know I needed this :3 Can you describe her outfits please?? For... Science. Also, do they end up having children? -the drawing anon again (also, once I get the courage to color the kanktsumi fanart I did, I'll find a way to send it to you) Hope you're doing well! <3

So Katsumi’s look doesn’t change much once she gets older. Her hair is still long, and she still hates having to put it in a ponytail. She still wears her fishnets that go mid-thigh.

If you look at my most recent post about her, there’s a picture of her and Kank kissing. Her scarf is the color of sand. Her long sleeves are the color of Kankuro’s red paint (she matched him on purpose). The shorter sleeve is actually the material of most of her outfit. It’s a deep burgundy and is the length of a dress. It opens at the front, so she keeps it together by using her headband around her waist. I hope this is helpful - I suck at describing outfits!

To answer your other question, no, they never have children. I didn’t want to go against canon too much. I wrote them not having children into Katsumi’s story. It’s pretty heavy though.
