When somebody shares a quote by a famous author like it's something the author personally said and believed, but you know it was actually spoken by a character you're not supposed to like... š
one time I saw on Pinterest a cutesy little pink flowery image with the quote āāas soon as I entered the house, I had singled you out as the companion of my future lifeā -Pride and Prejudiceā and like
ladies that is a mr collins quote š
My favorite example of this (not quite a character but a commonly misinterpreted quote) is Mary Oliverās quote:
āHe is exactly the poem I wanted to write.ā
Often quoted as if itās romantic. But hereās the thing
It was written by a lesbian. About a heron. She was writing about a large wading bird.
a quirk of sexting while british is switching from arse to ass. i would never fuck someone in the arse. its impolite.
set a reminder on my phone a few days ago while I was falling asleep, ostensibly to help me remember something to post. now every day at 5 pm I get a time sensitive reminder for āletās get bit by snakeā until I either give up or figure out what it means
When the random unfamiliar foreign city starts feeling a little too release yr inhibitions feel the rain on yr skin
i tried to come out of my shell and fucked it up and now im kinda lodged in here all weird

invented a new word today. its 'plagiarism'. im a genius i know
a thing about me is i basically never notice a wig or other kind of hairpiece in tv/movies. it has to be party city territory for me to even twig it. people will complain about characters' wigs looking bad and i will nod along but there is like a 90% chance i did not notice for a second while watching. i consider this mostly a blessing.
