Minerva wasn’t a bad girlfriend to Violet. The only toxic thing about Vinerva was Violet herself

People like to say Minerva was a bad girlfriend when there's literally NO evidence proving it. Apparently, a lot of people look at Minerva's actions towards Violet in the woods & on the bridge, using them as the basis for this poorly defined belief. When Minerva met Violet again for the first time in a year, they were already broken up(even if unofficially). Violet moved on & started dating Clementine. Anything that Minerva did to Violet after this doesn't make her a bad girlfriend because they weren't even dating when those things happened.

And even then, Minerva wasn't quite herself to begin with. If Minerva was a neglectful & toxic girlfriend, the game would've hinted that. I've seen people argue "Violet tells Clementine she always wanted to dance with someone she loved but never did, & Minerva spoke poorly of Violet when she found out she was leading the school, so she was neglectful", yet don't even know who Minerva was before she got taken.

Violet herself, the girl people stan to death, stated the Minerva she & Clementine met in the woods WASN’T the same Minerva she lost a year ago. Not only that, but no one knows how long Minerva & Violet had been dating for. To say Minerva was neglectful for not dancing with Violet, when she could barely even ask Clementine to dance with her, let alone talk to her without trouble, is foolish. And before she asked, losing Minerva probably made her realize that she shouldn't wait for the opportunity to pass again.

If anyone was toxic, it was Violet. She is easily the most introverted & insociable person at Ericson’s, who was quite the bitch autonomously. Just look at how she spoke to Clementine and Brody. Before Violet discovered Minerva hadn’t actually been eaten by walkers the day she went hunting with Brody, Violet begrudged her for a whole year over something she couldn’t help. She would make snide, sarcastic remarks whenever Brody spoke, and talked about her behind her back.

Violet had already been this way, even before Minerva got taken. When Clementine tells Minerva Violet runs the school, she replies “The Violet I knew could barely stand to look at people, let alone play class president”, proving this was who Violet was. Knowing this, how could Minnie have been toxic for remembering Violet the same way she was when we first met her?

How Sophie could’ve been included in TFS

—Sophie and Minnie get traded to the Delta

—Minerva learns to adjust to her new lifestyle but Sophie doesn’t, hating what they’ve become but doing what she has to so they don’t get killed

—Lily and her raiders take Omar, Aasim and Louis/Violet

—Lily has Sophie stay inside the boat while Minerva does her duties on shore because she is trusted more.

—Clementine and Louis/Violet meet Minerva on land, who tells them that her and Sophie were alive all along and that the others are safe, but not to fight back because it could get everyone killed

—Clem and the others sneak on board to save everyone but Minerva stops them, trapping them inside their cells

—After Lily threatens Clem to submit, she leaves her cell to go talk with AJ, telling Sophie and Minerva to keep guard

—Once Lily’s gone, Clem rams the door into Minnie, allowing Sophie to free the others from their cells while Minerva is distracted by her fight with Clementine

—As Sophie watches Minnie as she’s about to kill Clem, Vi/Lou break up their fight by shooting Minnie or Dorian

—As Violet and Sophie stay behind with Minerva, they tell Clem to leave them, and that they will catch up with them on shore

— Clem heads for the deck where AJ, Lily, Tenn and James are moments before AJ shoots her

—While the others fought Lily and her crew above deck, Minnie, Violet and Sophie head to the boiler room to retrieve the bomb and dispose of it, but are too late, as the bomb goes off before they could toss it overboard

—Sophie dies due to being closest to the blast. Violet’s face gets fried, but Minerva, who saw the explosion kill Sophie, is left unscathed

—As Clem reunites with everyone on shore, she hides behind the cover of the crates, looking for an opening to escape, but see’s a bloodlusted Minerva mindlessly killing walkers instead of fleeing the beach, moments before she is bitten in the face and spots Clementine peaking out at her

After that, everything plays out the same, but with Minerva going completely berserk, hating Clementine for fighting back because the bomb she plants in the boiler is what kills Sophie.
