I like to think about Otto and Regina sharing a bed, this is later in their dynamic.
Regina in Otto’s bed, after a long night and Otto convinced her it was too late for her to walk back home. It's not common that she spends the night in his bed but when she does, she sleeps by the window so when she wakes up she can see out onto east river.
This morning is no different, he’s got frost on his windows and it’s cold as shit in the tin box he calls his workspace and his home. the only warmth in the room is trapped underneath the heavy duvet that has seen that man through grad school.
She’s up before him, she usually is anyway. His arm draped around her middle under the covers and her hand is mindlessly playing with his arm hair. While her other arm stayed tucked beneath her pillow, away from the chill in the air.
It’s quiet as the city would allow it to be from the sounds of delivery trucks driving by, the hail hitting the roof, to the lapping of the river against the pier and Otto’s snores.
It’s her time for reflection and she runs through what she needs to get done for the day multiple times over in her head. Using the tip of her nail to count out her responsibilities against his skin when she’s truly lost in thought, hopefully not waking up Otto. It's not like the man sleeps anyway
