New species of bat found, Niumbaha superba, and it’s adorable.

This species was actually discovered in 1939 - it is, however, extremely rare and has only been collected a handful of times. Originally described as a member of the genus Glauconycteris, the novelty here is the genus - Niumbaha, meaning rare or unusual in the Zande language of South Sudan, where the most recent specimen was captured - which was erected for this species, because upon examination of the new specimen and comparison with other members of Glauconycteris, this species was discovered to differ sufficiently that it could not be included in that genus.
