I hc Newton (lbp3) was in such a bad physical and mental state after posession that he had to stay in Eve’s Asylum (lbp2) for a while. It was terrible. He was isolating himself in fear of harming others, he couldn’t trust his own body anymore because he was in fear of losing control of it again, etc.
But Eve is very patient and understanding with Newton during this time and they become good friends even long after Newton being her patient.
While Newton stays at the asylum and has Eve as his doctor, he would show her his super weird inventions made out of scraps and random crap around the asylum! Eve tries her very best to encourage his creative inventions and even gives him some safe materials for it sometimes (cotton, etc.) because she knows crafting calms him when he’s in a bad mood or he’s having a bad mental health day.
…But sometimes they get really weird and she has no choice but to call a code blue to the other asylum doctors (code blue being “patient is crafting something dangerous that could be used as a weapon.”)
When they get this weird, Eve is very concerned. She’d be slowly backing out of the room, ready to tell the other doctors.
Newton: “Hey, Evie! Look! I made a portal to the Nether from Minecraft using only cardboard and cotton! Want to try it out?”
Eve: “…Oh… Uh… Very creative, Newton— Muy bien.”*slowly backing out of the room*
Eve, calling out to her coworkers in the hall: “GUYS, ITS HAPPENING AGAIN!!”
Newton would also make very creepy or weird drawings (I hc he’s an artist) when he’s feeling down or out of it. It helps him break down his feelings. Eve has that feeling of terror every time she looks at his art🥹
Sometimes he also loses his temper when he’s feeling stressed out. Being constantly monitored, having doctors constantly write things down about you in their notepads, etc. probably pissed him off every once in a while because he felt like a science experiment. Eve never means to make him feel this way, though, and gives him space when he needs it.
Newton obviously feels a lot better mentally after he leaves the asylum because he had a great doctor who cared a lot about him and listened to him when he needed it, and even years after the whole thing, he’s still very grateful towards Eve and they exchange smiles when they pass each other on the street! He also starts to love himself more thanks to her therapy (he probably still had therapy with her for a couple months after leaving the asylum so he continues getting better.)
