Lily smiled shamefully. Even she knew researching dark magic was enough to get a path cleared whenever people saw you coming. Showing any interest in dark magic was awful. Which is why she probably wasn’t allowed to grab the book. Lily decided to ignore Daisy’s concern and shrugged. “I’ve been in hiding. The teachers have got me and James practically drowning in work. I never expected Head Girl to be so much, not that I’m complaining..” She sighed, running a hand through her thick, red hair.
Daisy ignored the smile she received from Lily (which worried her even more), and instead gave her an encouraging smile as she finished speaking, leaning forward so her elbows rested on her knees and beginning to twirl Lily's hair through her fingers. "You'll be fine, I know you will. You were born to be Head Girl, and as long as James is helping, you two will be perfect together," Daisy said, letting the hint of a smirk play on her lips.
"You don’t like it?" He asked incredulously, looking at her as if she had just announced she was from another planet.
Daisy smirked at the look she received from Sirius at her words. "No, actually, I quite enjoy it, what I don't like is the after affects of the ingestion of it," she responded. "I've had a few experiences."
"You dick!" She shouted. Immediately, her hands flew to her mouth and her eyes opened wide. Realising she probably actually meant it, she brought her hands down, placed them on her hips, narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips. "I’m done with you."
Isaac raised an eyebrow...
Daisy swallowed the ever growing lump in her throat, balling her hands together than letting them go and repeating the action. Trying her best to furrow her brow so as to show her anger towards the boy, she pursed her lips. "I'm going to ask again, and this time I expect a real reply," she said, struggling to keep her voice even. "Why do you have to be so fu...rude?"
Daisy grinned. She’d always been confused about how she felt about Rita, but when it came to her gossiping, Daisy appreciated that she had Marlene-a-million-light-years-tougher-McKinnon to protect her from it. She shook her head at Marlene’s next words, however her grin...
Daisy laughed, shaking her head at her friends enthusiasm for her social life, specifically her 'sexual' social life. "Well then, I'm one step closer, because this is me accepting that those boys were cute and nice," she grinned, shrugging her shoulders. Daisy listened to Marlene's words with a slightly cocked head, at first firmly not believing what she was saying, completely sure that she was anything but fierce. However, as Marlene continued, her neck relaxed and her smile softened, putting as much appreciation into the look as possible. "Thanks, Marlene," she said quietly. "And you're not that hard to put up with," she laughed, saying the words louder than the last. "I shall be a minx one day, Marlene, with your help, we can be sure it'll be soon," she grinned, nodding once and nudging Marlene back. "You're doing that tone again!" She laughed, shaking her head. Really, Daisy wasn't sure the art school was all that 'highly pleasurable' when it came to the boys, she wasn't exactly textbook gorgeous, in fact, in her own eyes, she was quite average, so why would the boys be attracted to her as she was to them? Daisy had always been described as the 'little sister' or 'the cute one', she didn't want any future boyfriend to see her as a little sister. Throwing these thoughts away as she so often did, she grinned again. "Those boys might has well have been out of a romance novel," she mused.
Daisy tightened her lips, shrugged her shoulders and nodded. “I guess so. Did you just say ‘dark magic’?” Daisy shifted herself on the couch so she was looking at Lily, swinging one leg onto the elders lap. “Why do you want to learn about dark magic?”
Lily looked over...
Daisy felt herself physically relax at Lily's words, offering the girl an apologetic smile. "I know...I know I often feel the need to stretch out on my knowledge, broaden as you say. Just, Dark Magic? I'm not going to worry, but still, Lils..." she trailed off. "Well you've definitely picked an intriguing subject," she grinned. "Anyway, how've you been, Miss Lily? I feel like I haven't seen you in ages."
Daisy let out a small laugh. “Well, have you tried approaching a different professor? I know that’s sort of cheating, but it’s better than forging.”
"Professor Slughorn practically treats me like a daughter, Dais. If he isn’t going to sign it, I couldn’t think of who would. So what if I want to do a little reading of the dark magic? I’m just curious!" She sighed loudly, pouting with fierce exaggeration and sat down beside her.
Daisy tightened her lips, shrugged her shoulders and nodded. "I guess so. Did you just say 'dark magic'?" Daisy shifted herself on the couch so she was looking at Lily, swinging one leg onto the elders lap. "Why do you want to learn about dark magic?"
"Tell me, what would you do if a teacher wouldn’t give you a permission slip to borrow out a book from the restricted section? I need an answer a few paces short of forging a signature and getting detention."
Daisy let out a small laugh. “Well, have you tried approaching a different professor? I know that’s sort of cheating, but it’s better than forging.”

"Can’t handle your liquor, Dais?" He chuckled and shook his head at the blonde.
"More like I would prefer not to have to handle it," Daisy chuckled with him, raising her eyebrows slightly.

"Hm, they do. I’m not too sure why we’re all back in Hogwarts, but I don’t think any of us mind it much; we practically lived here for a good seven years of our lives, so if anything I think we’re relieved to see that she’s still standing.” Narcissa mused with a small smile, trying to remember if there had a blonde Daisy sorted into Ravenclaw during her seven years – it was definitely a long shot, but she liked to know exactly who she was talking to. “It would be nice to know why everyone is currently flocking back to Hogwarts now though, wouldn’t it?”
Daisy let out a small laugh, giving Narcissa a smile. "I guess that's true. It must just feel natural to come back to these halls, no need to ask questions if it means coming back to a place you used to consider home," she said, smiling at Narcissa still. "It's always nice to have answers, but sometimes leaving things open is nicer...anyway," she said, shaking her head. "Essay. You don't have to help, if you don't want, I'm sure my friends could."
"Touch the firewhisky again and you’ll lose that hand."
"Trust me, I don't think I'll be touching alcohol for a while now," Daisy remarked.

"That’s partially why he was one of the professors that I didn’t dislike; he’s not the worst of them, Slughorn." She smiled drily, trying her hardest to figure out the girl’s surname – Narcissa was normally good with such things, so why she was blanking at the moment she didn’t know. She was plucked out of her short reverie at the other girl’s question however, and she gave a small titter. "Oh no, I’m not here as a professor or an apprentice or anything, I’m just here because… well, because everyone else is here. Just Narcissa ought to suffice, although If you really want to use a title, I suppose Miss Black would be alright for me."
Daisy nodded in agreement, offering the girl a smile. She noticed her watching her intently, as if she was trying to figure something out, and Daisy took this as an opportunity to try and figure out if she knew who the girl was, if she'd seen her before. The name Narcissa didn't ring a bell, however Black did, and she knew well enough that she was Bellatrix's sister, so she figured she was a Slytherin, if she had gone to Hogwarts, that is. She must of been older, possibly graduated before Daisy even entered, so she didn't try any harder to figure her out. "Yes, all of the alumni do seem to be coming back, don't they? Well, it's nice to meet you Narcissa."
missnarcxssa:
"Oh, Slughorn doesn’t really care whether or not a student is good at potions,” She began to tell the little blonde, recalling her own experience with the professor, “He just cares whether they have potential.” Cissa spoke the words with delicacy, remembering what she had heard from the various members of the Slug Club that she was acquainted with. She hadn’t been one of the regular members, but she may have attended one or two of the parties –– after all, he couldn’t have turned down a member of the Black family. “I’m sure it’s a pleasure to meet you Daisy; I’m Narcissa Black.”
Daisy nodded along with the girl (woman, really), listening to her intelligent words and actually letting them sink in. She was right, really, Slughorn was different to most of the teachers, who just cared whether or not you could perform in their subject, but the problem was; Daisy didn't have potential in potions either. She just did not understand it. "That's quite right, really," Daisy said after she'd finished. She smiled after Narcissa had introduced herself, extending her hand for her to shake. "And you...what should I call you? Professor Black?"
"Completely!" Marlene reiterated determinedly, grinning at Daisy’s remark about feeling safe. She beamed at the girl’s final words. "There’s my fierce little minx!" she crowed. Marlene in no way wanted to change Daisy—she thought the little blonde was wonderful as she was—but she did want to encourage her to try new things and to feel more comfortable defending or asserting herself, if the time ever came, so she was pleased by this development. “Well, damn,” she said, with a low whistle and gleaming eyes. “Pretty, nice and talented!”
Daisy grinned. She'd always been confused about how she felt about Rita, but when it came to her gossiping, Daisy appreciated that she had Marlene-a-million-light-years-tougher-McKinnon to protect her from it. She shook her head at Marlene's next words, however her grin stayed plastered on her lips. "I'll admit that they were attractive, and I will admit that I was slightly attracted, but I would hardly describe myself as fierce, or minx, and especially not the two of them together," Daisy laughed. This was all truth, really. These boys were the first that Daisy had felt any attraction to since Fabian, so she could hardly be a minx, but it was fun to joke with Marlene. "Mhmm, it was highly pleasurable."
Marlene grimaced at the thought. “Oh, fuck,” she agreed amicably, before brightening. “Though, I mean, I’m a million light years tougher than Skeeter,” Marlene pointed out, “so I could fight for your honour!” Marlene straightened in mock-affront. “Why would you regret it?” Marlene asked, eyes sparkling. “Embrace the inner-minx, missy!”
Daisy raised her eyebrows, nodding her head in agreement. "Yeah." She shook her head at Marlene's next words, chuckling lightly. "Is that so? Well, I feel safe now." Daisy shoook her head, laughing slightly. "Okay, okay, I embrace it, those boys were attractive, and they were nice, and some of them were even good at art!"
