Some big things are going to be happening in my life soon and I have decided to really get down to business and embark on a one month overhaul of my life. I feel like I have been stuck in a rut lately where I’m not really giving myself the chances I deserve. So I put together an outline of what I want and some basic strategies for how to get it in the next month.
Goals:
To lose 3.5 kg of weight (starting weight 77.5kg)
Gain strength and fitness
Gain flexibility
Gain energy
To cultivate a lifestyle that fosters a positive and holistic practice of health and wellbeing
Save money through eating home cooked meals over takeaway and riding my bike over getting an uber/taxis or the bus
To feel confident about myself and the life that I live
Motivation:
This date should mark the beginning of a new and exciting era in my life. I want to enter this phase as the best version of myself that I can possibly be.
Strategy: Set aside time to plan your exercise in advance. Use your planner to mark out the best times (and the most realistic) for you to exercise.
Follow the daily good habits checklist and especially make sure to tick off water consumption, vitamins, no takeaway, apple cider vinegar and exercise components
Play netball every Thursday
Do the 30 Days of Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube
Ride bike everywhere!
Always carry healthy snacks and water bottle. Keep work stashes stocked up with green tea and seeds/nuts to snack on.
Plan healthy work lunches for each week ahead on the Sunday. Cook in bulk when possible and take to work on the Monday so there is always lunch available.
Ride to the farmers market each Saturday morning to buy your supplies of fresh fruit and veggies from local farmers.
Keep track of your progress. Write about how you are feeling. Be ready to adjust when you need to. If you feel it’s not working - mix it up, look for changes! Remind yourself of what you want, why you want it and how you are going to get it. Use and update your vision board.
