This is a side blog (main blog here!) for me to tell the world about my crack fics.
And by crack fics I mean fics that I wrote when I was a little kid and took very seriously at the time, and looking back as an adult I’m cringing. Btw they’re all about Aphmau.
On the off chance that I do give you an idea, or you like something here of mine, please ask me before you do anything with it. I may laugh at them, but they are forever part of my childhood, and in a sense they are dear to me. But please feel free to ask!
somebody screamed. Maybe Garroth, maybe Aaron, maybe Issa. Looking back, no one was quite sure. It seemed to happen in slow motion. The shark’s mouth closed, blood splattered, Issa’s hands let go of the rope, and her top half tumbled into the water.
Garroth was the first to get his wits about him after that. Ordered the rest of the crew around to try and keep the ship from capsizing. Half the crew helped him, the other half held Aaron down to stop him from diving in the water after Issa. They made it back to port, and as soon as the storm cleared, they went back out again.
Garroth and Aaron dived for days, looking for Issa’s body. Looking for anything of Issa’s. Garroth gave up after two and a half weeks, and he convinced Aaron to stop after two and a half months.
but when they were diving, Aaron kept thinking that he saw Issa. Her hair, her boot, her hand, but nothing was ever there. Garroth called it “sea crazies.” When they stopped diving, Aaron would see her on land too. “Over there Garroth, Issa waved me over,” “I saw her in the mirror,” “She was there, Garroth, I swear,” and every time Garroth would say “sea crazies.”
Eventually, the grief hallucinations stopped. Aaron and Garroth grew apart, naturally over time. Aaron quit being part of the crew, he was supposed to be captain after Issa, but told Garroth to take up the helm. Aaron became a mercenary.
After Issa, Aaron wouldn’t hear a word of “crazy talk.” No mermaids, no magic, no nothing. But he didn’t doubt Titanus, that was for sure.
enter mermaid tales season 1 episode 1, Garroth tells Aaron that it’s good to sail with him again. Garroth falls into the water, and at the sighting of Titanus Aaron dives in after him—he won’t let it happen twice. He sees a girl under the water and Garroth doesn’t believe him. “This one was real! She had raven hair, and a star shaped scar on her right shoulder.” Well that’s new to Garroth, doesn’t sound like Issa, but nonetheless, “It’s the sea playing tricks on you! There was no woman, it’s sea crazies!”
And that’s kind of it! Oh! Except that Garroth and Melissa were engaged. Yeah… remember when Melissa was in MyStreet and Ziana was “not” trying to set them up? I thought I could play on that a little bit on this universe.
the “saber” part I added when making this post bc season 2
Ok so basically it was just Melissa in Mermaid Tales. Buuuuuut angsty!
Melissa was Aaron’s older sister, and they were orphans (woooow original!). Melissa was the captain, Aaron was the first mate, and Garroth was also part of the crew! He was the most trusted crew member to Melissa other than Aaron. A little detail, because I love those, Melissa would always swing on the ropes to get from one side of the ship to the other. “Off the ropes, Issa,” was Garroth and Aaron’s catchphrase. Oh! And Melissa goes by Issa.
Anyway, Issa LOVED “crazy talk.” She believed in all the tales of fairies and ghosts and cursed souls and mermaids, and that one giant shark called Titanus. She’d always try to chase after things that Aaron and Garroth didn’t really believe in. But she was their captain and their friend, so why not humor her.
One day she wants to hunt Titanus. Garroth’s a little on edge, because Issa wants to sail somewhere ships have been known to go missing. She says that it’s the shark, all Garroth knows is it’s probably not safe. Aaron isn’t worried. They get there and Issa’s excited to look for the shark, but after about half an hour a storm comes in. Aaron warns against staying, but Issa just says it’s a sign they’re getting closer. And since she’s the captain, they’re staying.
Unfortunately for everyone, Issa was right, and with the storm came the shark. And a dorsal fin the size of the ship itself. The crew freaked out and everything on deck was thrown in disarray. The storm started picking up and the boat rocked violently. Issa still wasn’t worried, saying they hadn’t “angered the sirens so much that they’d drown us.” Then the boat tipped. Aaron happened to be lucky enough to grab the railing, but Garroth started sliding down the boat. Aaron managed to grab him by the wrist, and they hung on for dear life. Issa saw them and lunged into action. She grabbed a rope and swung across the boat after them. The boat had almost returned to normal by the time she was in the air, but with the little extra weight it started to tip again.
The boat tipped so drastically that Issa’s boots would probably have hit the water before she started going up again. But the timing is just so perfect, that Titanus jumped vertically out of the water bit off her lower half.
again with the scrapped MID OCs, Noya was supposed to be Leif’s niece. In the (my) storyline, Leif had been one of Asch’s knights for 8 years, and when he left- or got left- Noya was 5. When the group returned latter to the clan with Ava to hide, Noya was 13.
again, unoriginal me, I inverted Tiss’s power, and gave Noya the magic to create uncannily good illusions. No potions involved, and she could one thing look like a completely different thing. Using a lot of energy, she was even learning to make the illusions solid, something that (I decided) other Daemos couldn’t do.
She was a spunky kid, and like how people say that each MID character has their counterpart in the other plane (Mrs. Oats and Lady Grandma, Rhal and Lorali’s boyfriend what’s-his-name), Noya’s “counterpart” was supposed to be Marleen. Noya was mature and slightly murderess, but she didn’t enjoy torture. She knew the “thrill of the kill” but liked more so the chase than the actual ending of lives. Nevertheless she was an assassin. And unlike Leif she did a lot of cleaning. Physical description under the cut. Leif and Tiss would also call Noya “Noyari.”
Recommend context here and other context here.
I’ll put smt here later im sure. I know what she looks like but im just lazy.
Function: used at the end of a name! For example, “Liefair,” or “Tissari.” For names that end in the letter a, an extra a may or may not be added. With the example of Ava, “Avari” and “Ava-ari” would both be correct. But the hyphen matters! I had another OC named Noya (and looking back on this latter I realize that Noya and Noi may have been to similar), and they always called her “Noyari,” and not “Noya-ari.”
Meaning: “ari” meant “someone you won’t leave behind.” “Someone that you care about.” “Someone that you keep around for more than personal benefit.”
This is in context of my scrapped OC Tiss, who served as Leif’s older sister. He would call her “Tissari,” and she would call him “Leifari.” Not everyone in the clad called each other ari, but it was mainly familial- not always though!
I had this whole scene where Leif called Ava “Avari,” when Tiss was debating whether or not to kill her (no context). After Leif established that he considered Ava an ari, all thoughts of causing Ava any harm left Tiss’s mind, and she treated her like family.
I used to have this obsession where I needed to make a secret sibling oc for my favorite characters. Leif from My Inner Demons was not except from this craze of mine.
Her name was Tiss, and she was 10 years older than Leif. They were in the assassin clan together, and they were orphans. Original. I know. In MID, Ava asks if all Daemos (or however you spell it) had magic, and if memory serves correct, Leif said something along the lines of most people in “the kingdom.” We know that our favorite murderess little boy grew up outside of the kingdom, so Tiss didn’t have a traditional type of magic. Credit to my tiny child brain who couldn’t think of anything, she had the ability to see through illusions- perfectly. Nothing could fool her, and she could see the real deal without a second glance. Physical description under the cut.
another thing I’m known for in the fandom, complicating and unnecessary extra lore! So I’ll explain background stuff here, but basically Leif would always call Tiss “Tissari,” and Tiss would always call Leif “Liefari.”
