We are five episodes into Love Island USA and I’m already annoyed at the comparisons between Melanie (S8) and Huda (S7). Some even saying Melanie is worse than Huda?

Need I remind you Huda called every single bombshell the b-word because she was angry they *checks notes* kissed Jeremiah during a challenge? Or when she was yelling horrible things across the Villa when Jeremiah was told to go on a date with Iris (and two other couples)? Or how when Huda asked to speak with Iris, Pepe and Jalen were quite literally afraid to leave them alone together because they were afraid of what Huda would do? What about the time Huda tried to sexually coerce Chris when the poor guy just wanted to sleep?

I won’t deny that Melanie is doing too much. But we are far too early into this season to say that she is worse than Huda when, in reality, the worst she has done is pull a bombshell to get back at Sincere and then walk away crying because someone called her out.

Until she shows signs of putting other’s well being in danger, she’s at most petty and manipulative.
