For those rejected applicants...
If you don’t get into veterinary school during your first (or second or third) application cycle, it’s ok. Maybe it was not meant to be just yet. I did not get in my first go around, and I would have graduated a few days ago had I been accepted. However, it was ultimately for the best. In that extra year, I completed a minor and second major, got out of a relationship that just wasn’t meant to be, found someone amazing, was accepted into two out of my three vet school top choices, and got the most amazing offer that I wouldn’t have received had I started vet school a year prior. Rejection from that application cycle was probably one of the best things that ever happened to me!
If that still doesn’t convince you, I know someone who applied to vet school 8 times before they were accepted, and now they’ve just walked across that graduation stage to become a DVM! Never give up on your dreams. You will get there one day.
Reblogging this year now that decisions have been going out. Some of you may need to hear this. If you need more encouragement, read the awesome comments on this post. Thank you all!
